Each team faces sideways and throws their arms around the shoulders of the people on either side of them. A plastic hoop is then placed on the RIGHT foot of the first person, who passes it to the next person's right foot, and so on. When the hoop reaches the end, it is passed back on everyone's LEFT foot. First team to finish wins.
A water balloon is passed from the front of the line backwards over your head to the person behind you, who passes it to the person behind them, etc. When the balloon reaches the end, the last person then begins to pass it back towards the front of the line through the legs of the person in front of them. You kind of have to look to the side to see when the returning balloon will be approaching you from behind. When it gets close, bend down, take it from behind & between your legs and pass it forward the same way. First team with the balloon back to the front of the line wins.
A small ball is held by the first person in line between chin & chest. The first person turns around and passes it to the next person in line without using hands on the ball. You can use hands to grab/hug the person behind you to keep your chests together so the ball doesn't fall to the ground. The ball needs to go to the end of the line and come back. First team to get their ball back to the front of the line wins.
Each team has a piece of big bamboo, about 18"-20" long (or something like it). To start, the men face the front & the girls turn around and face the back. It is very important for the lines to be boy-girl-boy-girl for this game. The first man places the bamboo between his upper thighs with about half of the bamboo sticking out the front. The man then turns around so he is facing the rear of the woman behind him and passes her the big bamboo. The woman may have to bend a bit and spread her legs just slightly to "accept" the big bamboo. Yes, all the ladies must take it from behind in this game. The ladies then turn around while holding the big bamboo between their legs so the man who was originally behind them can put his legs around the big bamboo and take it from her, turn around, and give it to the woman behind him. And so on. Due to height differences, not putting it in far enough, etc, much hilarity ensues with this game. First team to get their big bamboo down and back wins.
Each team forms a single file line and has a plastic glass pre-filled with about 1 inch of beer. When the relay race is started the first player on each team quickly chugs their beer, then puts their cup upside down on the edge of the table. Then as rapidly as they can, they flip the cup trying to make it do a complete rotation, and land upside down again. Once this is done, the next player on that team can drink their beer, and flip their cup. The first team to have each of their team members flip their cup over first wins. If you do not like beer you may either designate someone else to drink your glass or select a different drink.
This race would be conducted in either the pool or at the beach. Suggestions for how to make it more interesting are welcomed (e.g. while carrying a drink and not spilling it, do it blindfolded, etc.). We will announce details on this race at the event.
The winning team will be given absolutely nothing but will get the pleasure of being served drinks by losing team for the rest of the day!! If we are lucky maybe we can talk the EC’s into contributing some hedo bucks.
