It is now just over one week since we got back from the land of "Ya Mon" and we are basically through the holiday hump so my mind is starting to function once again. I'm also working on a cure for island fever but I fear that 4 bottles of rum cream might not be enough to perfect the remedy. Looks like we are going to need another trip to do some more field research in a few months.
We arived in Mo Bay on 12/8 with all good intentions of getting down to business right away. We even had the common sense to stow a few handy items in our carry on bag so we would not have to sift through our luggage till well after our arrival at Hedo. You know, the important stuff.....big drinking mugs.... sun screen.... tooths brush.... asprin. We had to have a "carry on" anyway because when we left JFK we had some warm clothes that would need to be switched plus the all important travel documents that would allow us to get to our destination asap.
The original plan was to get "loaded" on the bus and party naked right away but when we got there the Super Clubs counter was deserted. The plane from Philly was several hours behind schedule and all of the passengers that were supposed to ride with us would be on the next bus. No problem mon! The bus will take us right away without waiting. Tough decission here.... the bus in 10 minutes or wait an hour for the next empty Tim air flight. We chose to nap on the bus figuring we would arrive refreshed but the driver had another plan. He stopped at every little place along the way hoping we would spend some cash and he could get his kick back. He even stopped to pay some bills in a small town. The ride took 3 hours and no sleep!!!
Check in was a breeze because we were the only ones on our bus and an upgrade was available just for the asking. For future refference, beach front nude is great but right behind the dive shack is a bit noisy in the morning as they start the SCUBA compressor before 8am most days. (and we like the windows open)
OK, on to the party. We thought we would have to wait before we saw some familiar faces due to the dates posted on Denny's site but as luck would have it we bumped into at least 6 people on the first day that we already knew from our last trip. (not counting the staff) Small world, eh?
We are fairly predictable people so I'll skip the "daily adgenda" and just say we did a bit of this and a bit of that while staying primarily on the nude side. Most of you knew where to find us at almost any given time because you were also there.
The highlights were games around the nude pool, (almost anything near Delroy's bar) and nude volleyball in the afternoon. Pat's favorite game was the "de-pantsing" of several single males on the nude beach. I think she is getting a bit pushy in her old age but everyone must have some fun. I shoulda got some pics of that! She also supprised me on several other occassions with things that were totally out of character for her but hey, that's Hedo! BTW, Denny got a great shot of Pat pulling out a tit in the dinning room. (thanks Denny!)
I think the food was better on this trip than in the past but I still can't get used to the idea that the menue in Pastafari's changes every day. Sometimes you enjoy something and would like to have it again.... nope! New items every time. The Jerk Chicken was much better this trip but they did something to the burgers.... ahhhh, some kind of spice in there, I just can't put a finger on it. I wont dwell on the art auction or the fact that toga night was real quiet. For a place that was supposed to be booked solid, where was everyone?
Someone else already covered the high jinks with the 6 foot blow up dick in the grotto, and the flavored whipped cream that left a taste in my mouth like an old styrofoam cup. Man, if that was my first time licking on a tit I'd never do it again! Good thing it wasn't!!
I still haven't heard if Tina's butt has healed from that nasty sunburn but I can squelch the rumor about us getting on the plane naked. NO, it didn't happen this time but you never know about the next time.
BTW, she did say it was sunburn..... but they are newly married and I still wonder. <G>
Speaking of rumors, Pat's "pulled ham strings" are fully recovered so no harm done even though she had to sit out one volleyball game. Just a bruised ego this time.
The flight out was uneventful except for the guy who wanted to get out just after take off from Negrill airport. Seems he has a problem with small spaces and he started to panic while sitting too close to the door. Hmmm, maybe we take the bus next time. (or fill the plane with people we know)
To all that we met, we'd like to do it again some time so keep in touch!!!!
