Brett & Christie - December, 2006 Wet, Wild and Wicked

Ahh WWWWWhat a wonderful week.  Even when its not the BEST TRIP EVER its still an AMAZINGLY FUN trip!

We did things a bit differently (for us) this year.  We 1) booked ROH where we normally book GVN 2) arrived Sunday when we normally arrive Friday 3) flew Continental, landing at 1:30pm instead of landing in the 11:30 range.  All of these things left us feeling a bit out of sorts.  Ill discuss each item (as if anyone else cares) and why they had an affect on us.

1)      The costs savings were very important to us this year so we chose to book ROH.  I was really hoping that Karma would be with us and we would get a nice OVN room but NOOOO.  We got the very last first floor OVP room right next to Sandals, room 1130.  While I will admit that the view was BEAUTIFUL it was a BITCH of a walk and didnt have that community feel that I have always felt in H-Block.  The only saving grace was that we had some decent neighbors including the Partymons.  Steve/Nancy would take the Sandals shuttle with us before dinner and after hot tub.  Having them walk with us definitely made the walk go fast and allowed us to visit and reflect on the day.  Thank goodness we keep similar schedules!  One thing we had never really done in the past was walk the beach at night.  Given that we had normally been in H-block we would take the pathway from the hot tub before bed and never got to enjoy the beautiful view of Negril at night.  One of us would point it out every night how peaceful it was walking the beach at that hour and how it was the benefit at living at Sandals. 2)      We had, in the past few years, arrived at WWWW on Friday.  This allowed us to NOT MISS ANYTHING.  (OK maybe a few things)  This year we arrived on Sunday. Well we missed things and that just kills me.  Just think..we missed someone being speechless with pretty pink toes, someone being decorated omg.. just way too many things.  I dont know about Brett, but I felt that I was behind all week even though it was just a couple days.  The other thing was that I missed attending an additional grand buffet on Friday.  I REALLY enjoy that night and it was depressing to know it was great food but our last night when we finally got to enjoy it.

3)      As most folks know, AirJam changed their flight schedule out of and into Newark which made it a very LAST choice when it came to chosing flights.  So rather than fly AirJam and land at 5:30pm we chose to fly Continental which landed at 1:30pm.  While we didnt have the huge lines that usually exist with the mid-morning arrivals it was depressing (to me) to arrive so late in the day when Im used to arriving around lunch time.  Please note all these issues are mine/ours and are due to us being accustomed to something other than what we did THIS YEAR.

So.. all the differences aside it was a great trip.  Our schedule remained unchanged from years past breakfast, room to sunscreen, pool, room to shower, dinner, piano bar (or courtyard) then hot tub.  There was little deviation from that, which is fine with me.

One thing that we really enjoyed this year was the new theme night Mini-skirt night.  Personally I really didnt expect Brett to participate in this, but when he heard that John (sunlovers) was thinking about it he was all in.  Renee and I wear our dark green mini skirts to the beach every Sunday during the summer so the boys decided to wear our skirts for mini skirt night.  (we were NOT happy that they were able to wear them!) Without speaking to each other they each also packed an appropriate color wig to allow them to be US for the night.  We even put a blue/pink fish tattoo on Bretts ass to complete the picture.  I enjoyed the night because I got to feel up all the men all night and the men enjoyed the night because they got felt up.  Sounds like a win-win situation to me and I hope that we continue this theme night next year.

We had missed the erotic gift exchange last year and had missed all of STFU Johns antics, much to our dismay.  So this year, we attended.  We were slightly delayed getting there and ended up with lousy seats up by the bar. (yeah, I know Im a whiner)  Given where we were seated we felt a bit out of the loop. (our fault)  that is.. until we developed our master plan.  Keather got the love midget.  Well first.. that was pretty funny. (since Keathers about 66 hugs girl!)  However, we (Steve/Nancy, Jim/Nissa, Brett/I) decided we HAD TO HAVE HER.  The FILP folks needed a mascot and who better than a love midget!  So the plan was set first one to be called would steal her (poor Keather) and then the second one would steal her again so that she would be OURS! (insert evil laugh)  Well.. then someone opened the substitute wife.  A BABYSITTER FOR THE MIDGET!  We had to have her too!  All things went our way at that point and our happy little family was made.  We got the kids all blown up and ready to hit the pool.  The looks I got walking down the beach with my little midget holding on to me was priceless!  They had lots of fun at the pool (we also won the anal ring toss) playing ring toss and other things with HedoBobs friend Billy (the goat).  Unfortunately, like a some real wives the substitute wife was unable to perform her wifely duties due to a lack of ANY orifices so in the morning we found her deflated, probably by some disappointed chimp the night before.  The midget spent her days floating around with Billy, although they were completely violated by glowsticks on glow night.  She was having such a good time we left her behind, and we understand Billy left her to and went on to live in Key West with some folks that took him in.

We had a couple afternoons that included rain.  As always, not a huge deal, were naked after all.  A few of us headed for the grotto to avoid being pelted with the rain (the bar was full).  We played ringtoss with Billy for a while.  Then Muffy came by with paint and painted a few folks. (what we wont do for a laugh)  We talked and acted stupid (as always) and finally someone came by, popped their head in and let us know it had stopped raining some time ago.  I guess with the waterfall there was no way to hear that the rain had stopped.  How stupid we looked. lol

Of course Id be remiss if I didnt mention the renewal of vows by Randy & Allison.  They both looked awesome in their wedding apparel.  Its a shame that the minister insisted that Allison cover up a bit more, but at least Elaine was close by with a beautiful (Barefoot Attitude) pareo to save the day.  I was honored to be asked to take pictures of the event and tried to do their day justice with love of course.

Time at the pool was spent as all time at the pool is. Laughing.  The jug made its appearance in a few different colors. (nice to have options!)  One day it even showed up all dressed up for Christmas with tinsel in it.  OK.. it was God awful Goldschlager (thanks to Mike) in it.  (sorry Mike, I know you love it, but Ill take the gasoline out of the jug before Goldschlager) Jims apprentice Lisa had the jug one day (that Im aware of), but usually it was Jim asking folks to trust him cuz its the best batch ever.

I did have one problem this year that is causing me some stress.  By the third/fourth day I couldnt figure out what to drink.  My mouth had had enough of the acidity of some of the juices and drinking creamy drinks give my mouth that sweatshirt feeling so I was struggling.  I needed a drink with no acid, no juice, no milk, no rum (hate it) and no whiskey (not my thing).  Tall order dont you think?  Well.. I drank little for a day or so.. (not my style AT ALL) until Elaine saved me.  Vodka, cherry liqueur, coke (reg or diet) and grenadine. A CHERRY COKE.  It did the trick and I finally found the buzz I was looking for on Friday!!!  Whether I could drink it for a whole week straight is in question, but for a day or so definitely.  Many of you who see me at the beach or in FL know Im a diet Mt Dew and vodka girl.  I can drink it nonstop for days.  Therefore.. Ill be packing at least six 20oz bottles in my luggage next year.  (Terry I finally get it! Sorry)

I need to mention the ECs.  Our feeling has been that the ECs were lacking in personality in the past few years (aside from RayRay and Roxie).  I know there are some (Jake J) that would rather they just disappeared, but theyve always been a big part of the trip for me.  This year Mega and Sarg made an impact (on me and in my opinion) and we really enjoyed their poolside banter. (not always poolside .. as Sarg ran a game in the pool while IN the pool.. a nice change).  Hell, these two guys even braved the jug!

Ill run off a couple quick items I remember:

This trip found us missing a few regulars (too many to be perfectly honest).  I for one missed one couple REALLY BADLY.  We added a number of newbies like Kindall, Dick&Tracey off the top of my head.  I know these three will now find this to be a requirement when planning their vacations in future yearsjust like the rest of us.

It goes without saying that WE LOVE OUR HEDO PEOPLE, and after this trip we know that there are those that love their SANDALS people, and were damn glad to count them as friends.  No where do we feel more loved, no wonder we start the countdown as soon as we return!

Ill say it again..

I LOVE my Hedo people!
