Ron & Cheryl - April, 2006 Wet, Wild, and Wicked

Our trip report

Probably the best vacation the both of us have ever taken. The folks that are members of DennyP’s group are unique, special and most important- ahhhhhhhh, sort of, well, THE BEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.

Photos will be posted by the end of the week if Coke gets the time. Can you imagine having dinner, lunch and sometimes breakfast for 8 days with CokewithLime and Mrs. Coke and the Artikats & Barb & Mike? Just an amazing week.

Here goes:

We flew into Cancun by American Airlines for free. Used up some of our AAvantage Air Miles before all the miles expire. Good deal. Suggest if you have any air miles with any of the airlines to use them before the air line goes belly up.

Transportation: Royale met us at the airport with name place cards after going through customs & immigration. A snap. We tried to use the new water slide from the airport direct to Desire but due to maintenance it was closed. Oh well, maybe next time. Royal had our private car waiting and we were at Desire in less than 20 minutes.

Check in was a breeze. Room was ready. Grilled grouper on the grill and frozen marguerites ready. We were in our room, unpacked and eating lunch in less than an hour after arriving.

THE RESORT:  So much better post hurricane. The improvements are amazing. The pictures will tell the story.

THE STAFF: Outstanding! Words cannot express our love for our second family in Mexico. The service is so good it’s unexplainable. There are no words to describe the care ALL the staff shows toward ALL guests.

THE FOOD: Breakfast is always buffet style with fresh cooked up omelets, eggs almost any style you want and other specialty breakfast items available. The coffee still needs some help as its extremely strong. Others enjoyed it. Actually with a little Bailey’s it was drinkable.

THE RESTAURANTS:  The Italian restaurant was great but more Italian choices are needed.  Suki was delicious and we also ate at the hibachi grill. Now that was an experience. The specialty restaurant, IL Piacere was just fine and the buffet was OK. We ate there on Mediterranean Night. More variety of foods needed. “43” is only served at IL Piacere so with the help of Serall we were able to purchase a couple bottles for our own use.

NEW RESTAURANT POLICY: Usually not a problem getting reservations for the eatery of your choice however, we as many of our friends still do NOT like the idea of having to eat at a certain time. Lot’s of stuff is happening at Desire and to have to break away for dinner just is just not cool. The buffet should be open EVERY night giving the choice to guests of when and where they choice to dine.

BARS: Always fully stocked and the bartends ARE ALWAYS FANTASTIC. One problem though. Most of the WWW’ers left on Sunday and a few of us stayed an extra day. Lemmi tell you something. DENNY’S GROUP DRANK THE BARS DRY. The up and coming pictures will tell the whole story. The resort ran out of Tequila, Vodka, Beer, Bailey’s and a few others after the WWW’ers left. Just amazing that 1 group of about 100 could drink a resort dry. Management assured us that that will not happen again and extra supplies will always be on hand.

CELL PHONES: Verizon International Plan works great. You will need to dial 001, then the regular number for outgoing calls. The International Plan is no additional cost. Only roaming charges.

ROOMS: Always clean with fresh linens, towels, beer, soda bottled water. Plenty of hot water at all times. We had an ocean front room and quite frankly not worth the difference in price due to NO available chairs and tables to sit in front of your room and chill. Until management gets enough tables and chairs it makes no sense to spend the extra dollars for something that you can’t get pleasure from.  Again, this is only our opinion and observations and can be corrected in time.

BEACH: Unfortunately when in Rome do as the Roman’s do or you will not survive. Unless one of us got up at 5 in the morning to place towels and whatever on the beds as we spend all day on the beach, we were not able to get a Paplya. That is ridiculous!  People spend a ½ day by the pool and a ½ day on the beach reserving both pool chairs and beach beds. The sun rises around 7 a.m. The beach people should remove all belongings from the beds & chairs & throw them in a pile before 7:30 a.m. We are to blame as much as anyone, however, if that’s the policy than so be it. Beach & pool chairs were never a problem.

HOT TUB. Lot’s of high energy. Enough said.

The wedding was beautiful and the pictures will show it.

OFF RESORT TRIPS: Went shopping in Playa for a day. Loads of fun bargaining with the shop keepers. Very clean town. $28 U.S. each way for a cab ride for 4.

SUGGESTIONS TO MANAGEMENT: Guys, use a little fabric softener. Man, some of the towels were rougher than sandpaper.

Condoms in the play areas.

The tile flooring in the main lobby is an accident waiting to happen. It’s bad enough the tile is slippery when it’s not wet, when wet, it’s like an ice skating rink. It really should be sanded down and made rough. Maybe you could use the bath towels to roughen it up.

Otherwise you all did a fantastic job in getting the resort to almost 100% in less than 6 months. Maybe the politicians in New Orleans should visit Mexico and see just what hard work and a little fun can do.

The only things missing from our trip was you.

If you get the opportunity try and book your next vacation with DennyP at www.dennyp.com for the up and coming April 2007 WWW Desire trip. Guaranteed, it will be the best fun and erotic vacation you’ve ever had.

p.s. If anyone found a pair of glasses in a case and you mistakenly brought them home, please, they are mine. Also if you hade an extra pair of shoes in your luggage, they belong to Serell. Hope everyone enjoys the report and the soon to come pictures.
