How
is it that time seems to drag while you are in the
real world but ten days at Hedo goes by in a second? Someday we will
figure out how to reverse this trend!
Going Home
Very
pleasant Air Jamaica experience for us. Flight out was on time and
although we left late returning to the real world, we ended up getting in
early. Go figure.
Immigration at Jamaica on Thursday was LONG and disorganized. We waited
close to two hours to get through the lines. While in line we observed
people filling out the forms when they got to the front seems that the new
forms threw some folks for a loop. But from what I heard from others
arriving later in the week, it seems that the process went much smoother as
representatives would go up the lines to make sure all paperwork was in
order.
Our
next task was to find the luggage. This proved to be a challenge because
of the long delay; luggage was pulled off the belts and piled up all over.
But after luggage retrieved, only 15 minutes or so through customs with no
issues. Off to the superclubs area for a quick sit before departing.
Dont know how long the bus ride was because we were busy catching up with our
Hedo friends all on our bus were going home to Hedo.
Home, Home Again.
Check in easy. Room 2228 ready and we quickly settled in. Steve
and I did all our work right away wrapped, unpacked and decorated our door.
Then, it was off to the Nude beach to get a drink and sit on the beach.
Had jerk chicken and watched the sunset.
The
property looks pretty good considering the fall hurricane. While there
are a lot of open spots, Im sure by next year the greenery will grow back in.
But shade on the nude side was a commodity!
Food
was much improved from previous trips. The Grand Buffet on Friday was
very good. Hedo also provided breakfast on the nude side several days
while we were there.
I
also really liked the new showers. Had no problems with water pressure
or hot water the entire trip.
As
always, Augustus took excellent care of us on his beach. Spent quite a
bit of time talking with him.
Highlights of our trip:
-
Seeing all of you wonderful people again! Great friends and a lot of
laughs! Met a lot of new friends this year too.
-
MMB fundraiser what a fun night The staff at Hedo went all out setting
up the stage and decorating for this event. Good band and great cause.
I enjoyed my role selling suck for a buck candy canes. But I think I
got the concept wronghad a lot of candy canes left over
-
Stuffing party as always one of my favorite times during WWWW. It
never fails to amaze me how generous this group is. We stuffed about
200 stockings for the kids.
-
School Girl night and Pirate night were great additions to the evening
dress. Very clever costumes.
-
Ring toss a winning event again in the nude hot tub
-
Massage in the spa. If you have never done this, make sure you take
the time to do it on your trip. Had the massage, scrub and facial.
Very relaxing and skin as smooth as a babies butt!
-
Ping-pong balls in the nude pool. All of a sudden, all the men were
named Jim for some reason
-
Erotic Gift exchange this is always a lot of fun.
-
Seeing those Keebler Elves on the beach. Too funny.
-
Three Dives. This is a great place. Watched the sunset and ate
grilled lobster.
-
Participating in the WWWW Calendar photos.
-
Beach grill. I love not having to worry about getting dressed to go
eat.
-
Floats - Where else can you see a 6-foot inflatable appendage?
Not sure what happened to it disappeared the same day it appeared.
-
Poker tournament on the nude beach.
-
Moon Hill Thanks for the great send off!
-
Finally seeing a Hedo Crab. While walking to dinner, we hear click,
click, click. Turn around and there is a HUGE crab shuffling along by
the nude side rooms. We saw it and it was not because of the brownies
-
Much, much more that I dont remember now, but will as soon as I hit the
send button to submit this report.
It just didnt happen
-
Every year, we start out with great intentions of what we are going to do on
our trip. But sand gravity sets in. The Survivor Olympics did
not happen as sand gravity ran rampant. Next year, perhaps Nude Hot
Tub Survivor. Start thinking of ideas!
-
No bananas to be found guess they are too expensive because of the
hurricane. The version served with banana liquor not too bad.
But not the same consistency of our usual brunch drink.
-
One year, the hot tub temp will be right. Guess it is difficult to
keep such a large tub to temp but we still managed to use most every night.
All good things come to an end
Every year, we hear great quotes from folks at Hedo. This year, we
actually remembered to write down some of them
-
You are an electrical engineer? Can you fix my vibrator?
-
After 20 minutes it was numbI couldnt feel a thing.
-
What are you going to do to my goat, Mon?
-
Damn youre hot. If I were gay, Id be hitting on you.
-
and I still had her clothes in my pocket
- I
turn 19 in two weeks I want to go to Hedo
-
Wow, you had twins!
-
Question: What did you eat (asked by host on the bus back to the
airport when discussing Jamaican history)? Answer: My wife.
Thank you all for making our vacation a great one. It is always said but
it is very true the best group of people are Hedo people and we are honored
to be able to spend time each year with all of you. See you next
December!
