We were at Desire with DennyP's WWW group. We had a flight out of Jfk left at 11 am nice time of day to hit the skys. Non stop to Cancun, immigration was crowded and the lines for customs was a mess but we seemed to pick a good spot and We got the green light so we were out were the hounds were very quickly. we also read about the people trying to sell and snatch you up but passed by saying no thanks till we got out side and first in line was the expo cancun sign for DESIRE The escort took us over to the bus and we only had to wait about 15 minutes for the next two couples, one couple was already on the bus. two couples were bubbly bares and two were WWW so we got to meet up and introduce ourselves along with 2 fers on the bus 2 bucks fer 1 corona with the company and the beers the trip to the resort was quick and upon arriving we were welcomed with champage.

The resort was hit hard with the storm surge and We believe they did a fantastic job getting the place cleaned up and open for our groups. We also were given what they considered a better room for the one night but it wasnt ocean view which we paid for. The next day they moved our bags and we were moved to building 22 which was perfectright on the beach. the rooms were fine for the amount of time spent in them and the pourch with the table and chairs was a nice touch. although I didnt use them as much as I tought I would, it was hot out so when we went back to the room we soaked up the air conditioning.

After being on dennyPs web board and chat room I had an idea who a few people were before we arrived which was good. Also David and Tracey had beaded name necklces for all of us. Now I originally thought this to be silly but after a day realized it was a neat idea, you didnt have to keep asking WHAT WAS YOUR NAME? and it was easier to learn who was with our group.

Our days went like this --- of course the first night we were up at the pj party in the disco till 4am this started the routine. Sleep in till 10 get up go down for breakfast either one or both of us. If we didnt both go the one would bring something back for the other. I would go down to the beachright out in front of our room and lay out in the sun for a few hours never did I get bit by any bugs the water was warm a little cloudy due to (IVAN) but refreshing. There were plenty of chairs but not alot of shade some of the shade things were knocked out by (IVAN). There was a shower at the entance/exit to the beach were you could also get refreshed since my husband wont go in the ocean.
At about 12-1 we would go down to the pool and settle in with our group, which already had space. Lounge chairs by the pool were not to be had since they were staked out either previously. The entertainment crew always had somehting happening. They had get to know each other games and group games, along with horesshoes and Volleyball. The only sad thing was that (IVAN) broke a glass retaining wall by the beach down by the pool so they couldnt play beach volley due to the fragments of glass. But this didnt stop you from walking down and enjoying the ocean or partying on the beach.

while down by the pool we would enjoy a lazy lunch with many choice every day you had a choice of fresh grilled steak,pork,chicken,fish and sauage. at the coconut grill you could get a steak sandwich, a club, a burger and some special daily dishes wings chips and cheese and i could go on the food was plentiful and well prepared.

After playing games we would just lounge around in the pool talking and Drinking. drinks were easly gotten and sometimes delived to pool side. At about 4-5 we had to go back to the room for a nap before dinner. at this point I realized i was eating way to much oh well vacation now diet next week.

Dinner was usually like at 8pm, we ate in the internatal resturant twice and both times since it was Air conditioned was wonderful. Yes you should make resevations early they do book up if there is a large group. We did, one night we were able to add Denny and Sharon to our table and the next Butch and Kim table in the are usually for 2 or 4. Our only complaint was that the dinning hall wasnt airconditioned. although they say its coming. In the dinning hall they also had theme nights itailian, mexican, chinese but if you didnt like it the GRILL always had fresh grilled steak, chicken, pork chops, fish and a seafood mix avalible. Again the food was always good. they did have some entertainment in the hall but limited but this was eating time and usually you joined someone in the group the dine with.

After dinner to the lobby pool and bar for the evening games which included trivial, partner games and dance contests.

right after that the disco opened at 10pm and you usually were there till late 2-3-4am. they always had a game . male strip, pj , lady strip and cant remeber the other. sorry

to bed at 4 up again at 10 and a new day.

We did do one excusion to the tempel nice trip lots of history but very hot drinks and beer on the bus.

we have never been to hedo and i dont think we will I would definatly go back to desire with dennys group maybe next september just hope the price doesnt go up very much. I like a value for my dollar.
