Diane - December, 2003 Wet, Wild, and Wicked at Hedonism II

Winter Wet, Wild and Wicked (WWWW)

December 4-14th, 2003

I just reread my last years trip report claiming it was my last trip to Hedo, as no trip could get any better.  Im grateful to report that not only was this trip the best ever, Ive decided the goodness will never end for me where Hedonism II is concerned.  It was 10 days filled with sunshine, laughter till my sides hurt, friends like Ive never had in my life, and more fun than Ive ever known.

I again decided to travel to MoBay via Chicago (dont ask).  This year the ever-wonderful Ms. Chris S picked me up and we got to spend the day together.  We visited with some other past WWW Hedo friends, Mike and Maurya and their now 2-year-old daughter, Tomalin (seems a baby keeps one away from Hedo these days).  My good traveling buddy, the famous Chicago Jake had planned a pre Hedo kick off party for us, which turned into one of the highlights of this trip for me.  I got to meet Linda and Larry in the flesh, and the all too famous HedoDocs, Bob and Rhonda from Florida.  Rhonda was in Chicago for a convention, and Bob tagged along.  Ive known of Dr Bob for many years from the message board, and have to admit his sometimes (ok, most the time) message board personality was a challenge.  I figured wed make the best of the night; head home early, so we could get some sleep before our 6AM flight.  How soooooo wrong could I be???  I was very wrong in this case.  Rhonda really DOES exist, and what a sweetheart she is (and cute too).  Dr Bob, well he is honestly one of the most down to earth, nicest men Ive ever met.  Im still not sure who is luckier, him or Rhonda.   I think weve got them convinced to join us next year for the famous WWWW trip, hence why I know that next year will be even better than this.  We partied at a place that Jake picked out, and except for one minor miscommunication with the parking lot that held someones keys, all had a blast.  The bar finally closed, yet they let us stay for an extra hour.  I laughed so hard that night, my sides hurt before I left town.  Thanks Bob and Rhonda for going above and beyond, the first round next December is on me!!!!

We grabbed a few hours of quick sleep, back up at 3am, and in a cab shortly after that and arrived and checked in and all was well, we were going to Hedo.  Our flight was on time, breakfast was served (wonder when Air Jamaica is going to join the ranks of all the US air carriers and quit the food service?), and we were soon landing in Jamaica.  All immigration lines were open and even with several large flights arriving at the same time, we were thru customs, and standing at the Super Clubs desk within about 30 minutes of touchdown.  We were put immediately on a bus, and ready to go.  One of the guys asked the driver how long it would take that day to get to Hedo.  The driver said 1 hour, 15 minutes.  The guest challenged him to beat his all time record and make it in 1 hour 7 minutes.  Two people timed him, one reporting 1 hour 3 minutes, the other 1 hour 5 minutes.  I think one started his clock when we left the parking lot and one when the bus first moved.  It was a great trip, and the bus is definitely the way to go these days.  Rooms seemed to be ready for everyone who was on our bus, but they asked me to come back in 30 minutes for my room.   That was cool, I went to find friends who had arrived a day earlier, and there sure enough in the dining room was the Pampered Princess herself, Hazelita, Jaime, CherBunny and her Ice Prince, Tom.  We played catch up since us gals hadnt seen each other in about 2 months (arent we lucky people?).  I went back for my room key, and was given a room with no roommate, and I could tell they were not planning on putting anyone with me, since I had a King bed and only one safe, even though Id booked single share.  I knew it was going to be a great trip.

Now everything becomes a blur, and likely the following isnt in ANY kind of rational order.  My days consisted mostly of waking up, getting some breakfast and on the 9:30 am deep dive.  The balance of the day was spent wandering aimlessly from a beach lounger to the pool to the hot tub, talking to anyone and everyone and back again.   I dont know why, but I did all the early dives this trip, and only one 11:30 shallow one.  Tom was my dive buddy for the first part of the week, but then decided hed had enough diving (I think 14 days was too long for those two), and I had to find other buddies to dive with.  Thank God there were plenty of those, and many thanks to Pete, Ian, Jeff, Bubba, Diana and Pamela for all the fun and good times on the dive boat.  You all are the best!!!!  We did do a night dive this trip also, my first ever.  It was one of the most awesome and scary things Ive ever done.  For those that have never done a night dive, I highly recommend it.  Unfortunately 12 or 14 said they wanted to go, and yet only 6 of us showed.  Staying sober all day to dive is a challenge for most.  Id guess they are use to that at Hedo though. Thanks to those who didPete (thanks for sharing your flashlight handle with me.lol), Ian, Sean, Gary, Bubba, Diana and myself had a blast. The colors you see on a night dive are about 10 times more intense than during the day, unfortunately beyond your light range you see NOTHING!!!!!

As others have reported, the nude side rooms closest to the nude pool were being remodeled.  When I checked in, none were available, but most were occupied before I left.  The really humorous thing was the window of room 2280 was washed inside and out, no less than three times a day before it was occupied.  I swear as much rubbing as was done on that window, the glass has to be half the thickness of every other window in the resort.   The bathrooms by the hot tub are also redone, and while they were coed this trip, I think they will be nice and much more functional than they were prior.  No long dark hallway to walk thru or stand in while waiting for someone to exit.  There are two toilets along with double sinks and room to stand inside.

We did something different this year than ever before.  We held an erotic and exotic gift exchange.  I go on several smaller trips each year with Hedo friends, and this has become one of the traditions of those trips.  I wasnt sure it would work with a group as large as the WWWW group, but thanks to help from Hazelita and Renee, it went great.  Anyone who wanted to brought a wrapped adult gift.  For each gift you brought, you were given a ticket.  A couple could bring one per couple or one per person.  We then drew the tickets at random, and gifts were opened, stolen from each other and lots and lots of laughs happened.  It was great watching Cat keep trying to trade for the largest..err, well, ok, some things should remain at Hedo.    I still think Sammy the singing schlong was one of the funniest things Ive ever seen.  Duck did get to keep his duck, thanks to all the booing when someone tried to take it away from him.  Thanks to all who participated, it was one of the highlights for me for sure.  Somehow the timing Gods were on our side, as it was cloudy the afternoon of the exchange, so no one minded going in the piano bar for the party.  I hope we do that one again next year, it was a fun time.

I was there over two Thursdays (everyone knows how much I dislike toga night.  Only so many times can dress in a sheet, play Animal House and still think its fun) and both nights afforded a trip off resort for dinner.  We tried Kuyabas on the beach both nights.  The first night we had about 10 or 12 and the second night, just three of us went.  It was nice, intimate, and beautiful.  They offered free shuttle service to and from the restaurant and the driver was prompt, attentive and safe.  The food was wonderful, and I always love getting away from the resort and mingling with the Jamaicans.  The first night we were there, there was a band playing Reggae Christmas carols; that was a hoot.  Imagine Im Dreaming of a White Christmas, in Jamaica with a reggae beat.  It was awesome!!

I always save the best for last, and as always, the trip to the school to take Christmas gifts to the children is always my favorite part of the trip.  This year was NO exception.  We made 125 stockings, had well over 400 Christmas gifts, and the smiling faces we saw were something money couldnt buy.   Special super thanks to the gals who helped me stuff the stockings:  Hazel, Cheryl, Nancy, DJ, Georgette, Michelle, Clare, Gail, Patty and Trish.  I know I couldnt have done it without all of you.  Steve and Sabrina and Don and Colette also went to the school to deliver the gifts this year.  I know they were as touched as I always am, as evidenced by our talk on the way home.  These kids in Jamaica have so little, and in spite of what they dont have, they smile all the time.  One little girl, grabbed my hand as soon as I got out of the van, and wanted to show all of us her school.  She was so proud.  Its still only one room, and still two kids share one desk, but its theirs and they love it.  The smiles that come to their faces when we arrive are all I ever need for Christmas.  Thanks to all those that brought presents and stocking stuffers, you have no idea how far your generosity reaches.   This year we not only were able to help the school, but we had enough gifts and stockings that we left with Donna Grant, the Resident Manger, that most all the Hedo staff workers children got something also.  It makes my heart warm to see this group in action.

Someone asked recently what the WWW group was all about.  Are we swingers, are we nudists, or are we something else?  Id say this group is a mixture of all of the above and none of the above, folks who just know how to have fun.  They are generous beyond words, and who treasure friendships more than most people can experience in a lifetime.  Thanks to all my friends who I know I will see before next December.  Hazel, Cheryl and Tom, The Jakester, Steve and Nancy, DJ and Bruce, John and Nancy, Ron and Diana, Jim and Nissa, Jim and Janie, The Sunlovers, the Crazy Canucks, Brett and Christie, Steve and Sabrina, Gary and Georgette, Debbie and Steve, Bernie and Elaine, Duck and Zilla, and anyone else I might have forgotten, I apologize now.  Special thanks to my Phoenix buddies who all live a couple of miles away, but I seem to see more at Hedo than here at home; Bob and Anni, Dallas, and of course, the ever famous Denny.   Special thanks to Corey for the awesome massage (always great to have a professional along) and to Don and Colette for their undying support.

Hope to see everyone again next year!!!!  If youve never been on a Winter WWW trip, consider joining us.  Its the MOST fun youll have with your clothes off.

Diane

PS:  My camera messed up this year, so no pictures in this trip report, maybe next year.  The memories in my head are wonderful though.  Wish you all could live in my head for a while.  ;-)
