What I Did On My Jamaican Vacation

By Irish Eyes Denise

Ahhhhh, where to begin.  Well, at the beginning, I suppose.  But what is the beginning?  Does anyone really know?  (Nothing like a little existentialism to start your day.)

Well, I guess the beginning is that I really had no intention of attending WWW, I had already had my annual Hedo vacation in May.  I had no vacation funds left, not enough vacation time, and no partner.  But after playing around on Dennys board, well one thing led to another, which led to something else altogether, then back a step or two, and then, wait, Im getting off on another tangent.  (heh heh she said getting off Beavis!)  (Ive been known to get off in a number of ways, but never (yet) on a tangent.)

So off I fly to Jamaica, a few hours after most east coasters flew.  I arrived to find my new honey waiting for me in the lobby (rumor has it he spent quite some time there waiting for the chance to hand me my first Mudslide as he should).

And thats pretty much all I can remember in a linear way.  Lets just say a lot of stuff happened, and then we flew home.

OK, OK, I know I cant get off that easy (there I go getting off again).  I can only give highlights, in no particular order, because although I had been hoping that as time went by, things might clear up, and I also perused the many many many photographs taken by my baby, alas, no luck.  If anything, memory is fading to where whenever I think of Hedo December 2003, I just get this warm, fuzzy feeling, and a big smile on my face (and a bit of a tingle too, but thats private) no particulars, no events, just a feeling.  But I guess thats what it is all about, right?

I can say that we partook of the usual activities PJ night (I was a construction worker how that qualifies as PJs Ill never know, but I didnt hear anyone complaining).  Toga night (I wore a gold/black gown, split across the back and down the hip and leg, but it was a one-shouldered thing, so I figured that was enough to qualify it as a toga, together with my snake jewelry (well, I guess thats more Cleopatra than toga, but thats what I love about Hedo, theyre easy).  Wear Black and Glow, well, we did (oooh!  Oooh! A memory!  We went on the cat cruise that night and had a blast!  One Half of Double-D came up with a wonderful new way to wear glow earrings and soon we all had glowing danglies hanging from our nether regions!  What fun!  Also, my baby gave me quite a bit of fun in the back of the boat (or was that the front?).  Another first!  We did the erotic gift exchange a lot of fun.  Hmm, did anything else happen that week?  Oh yeah, the swing.  Unfortunately, me and my baby have not yet had the pleasure of using the swing, but are so happy that many others did, and will bring it along next year (and WILL use it!)

Oh, almost forgot.  The treacherous Position 172 has claimed its second victim!  Which led to much merriment for all (except the actual victim, though he had had enough merriment during said Position 172 (until the end), and thus was limping).  Anyway, the Stormy Shuffle was born.  And thats all I have to say about that.

People.  There were lots.  More detail you say?  Ill try.  A good time was had with all (I am dying to find a use for Chers (as in Sonny & Cher) quote I AM the good time that was had by all but that is not exactly true (yet?)), anyway, in particular, the Lovely Linda and her man Mike were key in our enjoyment of the week.  Linda and I were in the habit of wearing very very high FMPs and drinking copious amounts of alcohol then trying to walk, but it was OK.  We held each other up.  Oh yeah, we looked dead-sexy hobbling and stumbling along in our FMPs!!!  The Delightful Double D Denise and her other D Don were great and of course, Trish and Kevin; congratulations on your engagement, and I look forward to being lifelong friends with both of you!  The always elegant Rene and John you are proof that a Hedo attitude can conquer all.  You handled your travel woes with equanimity and aplomb and the creativity of all in overcoming your wardrobe malfunction (Ha!) added to the fun!  .

Im sure lots of other stuff happened, but the brain cells where that information is stored are no longer accessible.  We had fun with so many people, and I may not remember specific instances and who was present, but even if youre not in my head, please rest assured that you are all in my heart.  As I said earlier, this trip resulted not in a list of vacation activities that were accomplished and checked off, but rather with a FEELING yeah, a general feeling of well being, of being loved, liked, laughed with [laughed at?], licked, (and for some, limped!)  (sorry, got carried away with the alliteration).

Thanks most of all to Denny.  I think the fact that you are able to attract so many wonderful people and no sucky ones is testament to the fact that you yourself are a wonderful man, and we appreciate your efforts and love you much!

And thats all I have to say about that.
