The Virgin Single Guy Trip Report Comparing H3 to H2

I first have to thank Denny for all his time and effort in maintaining this site and taking care of my travel arrangements for both trips. If you havent already, take the time to meet him. He is a genuinely nice guy who takes the time to make sure everyone is having a good trip.

Way back in May I went to H3 with the WWW gang, then to H2 in Dec with the winter WWW group. Ill try to cover most of the points that seem to always come up on the message boards. I wont go into detail on the day to day stuff, just assume it involves lots of eating, drinking, and being a lazy bum!

Transportation- Air Jamaica was great. No problems or delays on any of my flights. The ride from the airport to the resort was interesting. You really have to keep this in perspective. The roads in Jamaica are not the best by any means, and youre on a bus. This is not a limo drive back in the states! But its not a big deal. Just sit back and enjoy the view, at least youre on vacation!

Resort service- For me this is not a big issue, but I understand some people had some real problems during their stay. The staff was generally nice and courteous. There were a few times when service was a little slow, or the staff obviously wanted to be someplace else, but that happens everywhere. I decided that while on vacation nothing needs to be rushed, so I just chilled out and waited my turn. No problem mon!

Rooms- I paid for a single-share on both trips and never had a roommate. The rooms at H2 are really starting to show their age. But everything worked for me while at both resorts. I never had a problem with towels, water pressure, air conditioning or anything else during my stay. With the renovations that are taking place either resort should be comfortable. Keep in mind that these are not 5 star resorts. If thats what youre after, you will be disappointed.

Beach, Pools, and Hot tubs- I have to give this one to H2. They are far better than H3. The beach at H2 runs the length of the resort and is quite nice. Both the prude, and nude, areas are large and clean. The prude beach at H3 was really big and EMPTY. I have seen sandtraps at golf courses that are nicer than the nude beach at H3. Someone really got it backwards when they built H3. All the pools at both resorts are nice and cleaned daily. The nude pools could be a little larger, but it works. The hot tub at H2 rules! Although it was broken just before I arrived, everything was working during my stay at H2. The nude tub at H3 was a joke. It was nice during the day-only cause it was empty and I could get in. After dark forget it. It was standing room only. Way too small. I tried the other tubs at H2 and they were a little on the cold side for me. Each resort has its own personality. H3 is centered on the pools. H2 is between the beach, then to the pool, then back to the hot tub. If youre a beach person do not waste your time at H3.

Single Guy Stuff-This seems to be an ongoing topic on the boards. So here goes. A single guy can have a great time at either resort.  The people there are the best. I met so many great people on both trips. It was really amazing. Traveling with the WWW group is the way to go! So many people went out of their way to make me feel comfortable as a single guy. Thanks to everyone. ( far to many to list!)

Now for the reality check! There are very, very few single women! So if youre going to meet girls - forget it!  If youre going for lots of sex bring two hands and some lotion! Either resort is about 95% couples, 4.5% guys, and .5% single girls. Personality goes a long way for single guys at Hedo. If you act like a jerk you will be treated as such. Be nice, courteous, and polite, and you will not have a problem. Hedo is not about sex. Its about the awesome people you meet when youre there.

For me these trips were all about lying naked in the sun, drinking any time of day, and just getting away from it all. I was able to get lots of sleep and totally relax. Getting to meet and party with the people there was a huge bonus. Hedo is like no place else in the world. Its not perfect, but close enough! Ill be back for next years WWWW trip! See ya then!
