DennyP - WWW2003 July

There is no way I can even begin to upstage Danimal's awesome trip report posted earlier and found here. So I will just put down some random thoughts.

It's always amazing to me how such a big group where a large number of participants have never met one another can gel together in such a cohesive manner in such a short span of time. From day one - people who were "strangers" the day before are now good friends. I guess that is part of the WWW magic.

For me, I truly enjoy visiting with friends from past WWW trips. It really seemed like "old home week". There were several people on this July trip that were at Hedonism III in May with the WWW trip there. We picked up right where we left off in May.

This group of WWWers was sure into having all kinds of fun. All day you could find someone starting or participating in some kind of unplanned antics. During the week I had several discussions with various staff members. They really like it when WWW is there. They repeatedly complemented us on our politeness with the staff and our general friendliness with everyone at the resort.

We set a new record in requiring both catamarans to hold our 110+ crowd of people on the day cruise. Even the night cruise had about 40 people on it which is also a record.

The WWWers were very generous with their donations to the school kids. We collected enough to donate to several schools in the area. I am supposed to get a list of the schools that benefited from our gifts. When I get that list, I will add it to this report. Thanks to everyone for your outstanding generosity.

Boomer and Stephanie won the 3 free nights for use on a future trip. This was awarded as a door prize at our welcoming party on Sunday night. Also at the welcoming party a couple of dozen adult toys were given away. Thanks again to Ken and Janet for donating those prizes. Also a big thanks goes out to David and Tracey for their name-bead necklaces.

We did have some rain each day except one. But it never lasted long and wasn't even bad enough to clear the bar, pool and hot tub. Hey, it's the tropics. One storm did knock out the electricity for a bit over an hour. I don't think there was much inconvenience other than the bar not being able to serve everything.

I did get to see the one remodeled room that they have completed. I have some pictures of that room which you can view here. According to their schedule, they should be starting the renovations on the other prude side rooms in August. Yes, there will be TVs - live with it. Don't turn them on if you don't want to!

My room was is the last building by the nude pool. We received advanced notice that our hot water would be turned off one day for upgrading. After that day, the hot water in my room was consistent and plentiful. They are doing the same upgrade to all the buildings.

Many non-WWWers that we met are sure to be seen at a future WWW event. Many guests are contemplating returning to Hedo II in December for that WWW trip or going to Hedo III in October in order to use their 3 free nights for paying for 14 nights in 2003. Information on those trips can be found at www.dennyp.com/www.

I'd be negligent if I ended without saying thanks to someone who made the week special for me.
