Jay & Teri: WWW2003 Hedonism III - May, 2003

This is another rookie couple who had a wonderful time at Hedo!  After all, where else can you trapeze, scuba dive, and learn to sail all in the same day?  Or perform with six other girls in a glass-bottomed hot tub for the guys sitting underneath, oil-wrestle naked with your husband, hang upside-down in a cage wearing a toga, get to know a vibrating duckie personally, dress as a hand-job for a costume, enter your first wet t-shirt contest, have late-night sex in the disco, play Truth or Dare in the hot tub with five sexy couples, see your first strap-on, and have a girl come up to you in the hot tub and say, Hi, Im Michelle; mind if I kiss your breasts? (Of course, we wouldnt know anything about those latter activities - those are all just rumors we heard.)

Our trip started with meeting Mike and Becky on our flight, and riding the bus with them to Hedo.  Theyre wonderful (congrats on your marriage, and I cant wait to see you next month).  When the bus stopped to let people off at Breezes, we took the obligatory photo in front of the Breezes sign for the folks back home.  On to Hedo - we dumped our stuff in our room, and then headed directly for the nude pool, where I was initiated into the WWW group by Leslie, the best-looking tattoo artist I know.

Yes, I know youve read it before, but being naked in public REALLY doesnt feel weird after the first hour or so.  After a while, you just kind-of stop looking, or worrying about being looked at.  By the end of the trip, it was much more of a turn-on to see people in sexy clothes; nude people, no matter the size or shape, were just nude people.

The rest of the week consisted of very little sleep and lots of sex.  The whole atmosphere was very sexual, though not pushy.  You could join in the fun and games (official and unofficial) or just relax and hang out.  We kept having to go back to the room to make use of the bed under that mirrored ceiling (I never really realized what a nice butt Jay has).  I WILL figure out a way to do the mirror thing at home, and hide it from the kids.

During the days we kept busy with the resort activities. We took the Discover Scuba class and went on a couple of dives during the week.  The instructor was great, and it was a neat experience.  We did the trapeze in the circus clinic, learned to sail a sailboat, and went waterskiing and kneeboarding.  We played a lot of the organized games, and ended up with a huge pile of tokens.  Im proud to say that Jay won Mr. Nude Pool, and didnt he look so cute in Akemis thong?  And I was the winning artist in the nude body painting, with Becky as my canvas.

During the evenings, we hung out with a lot of different people, depending on our mood at the time.  We joined the Quad Snobs a time or two, the glassed-bottomed hot tub group, and so many other people.  Robin and Cielo, you guys are wonderful, obviously very much in love with each other and your kids, and we love being around you.  Were looking forward to seeing you again.  Carla, youre my hero.  After being married over 20 years, I hope I look as good as you do, and you and Les have such a good marriage.  Shawn and Dana, you guys are a blast; cant wait until we move up to your part of the country.  Tom and Akemi, we had a great time hanging out with you guys, and let us know how the research goes on the blue dolphin.  Ken and Janet, thanks for the new toy (and Jay says thank you Janet for the shower scene).  Dave and Leslie: Go Spurs!

We noticed that most of the couples we met seemed really happy with each other, a much higher percentage at Hedo than in the real world.  And we didnt meet anyone at the resort that we didnt like.  How often does that happen in the real world?

Here are some things that seemed different from what we expected by reading all the posts on Dennys site:

Everyone said to imagine going into your local grocery store, and picture everyone with their clothes off, and thats what youd get at Hedo.  I dont know where you shop for your groceries, but Ive never been to a grocery store like this!   Im sure it depends on the week youre at the resort, but the May WWW group was very sexy!

A lot of the posts said not to bring many clothes.  But you will need something to wear to breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the disco.  For the guys, this is usually shorts and a t-shirt or a polo shirt.  For the women, its anything from sarongs to swimsuits to slutwear to shorts & t-shirts.  Next time well bring a shirt for each day, because with the heat and humidity, you really dont want to put on the same stinky shirt the next day.

We didnt have any problems with the single guys or the locals.  Most of the single guys we met were cool.  And as long as I stayed near friends, the pushy guys werent a problem.  It was like going out dancing in the states - there will always be guys who try to hit on you if youre alone.

The only negative things for us:

1)  We booked with Wild Women, which turned out to be rather a disappointing experience (email me if you want more details on this).  Next time, and the next, and the next, well definitely be booking through Denny.

2)  Jay went through CNN withdrawal because there was no English-speaking news channel on the TV.  He was able to fight off the shakes with Hummingbirds, though.

3)  Most of the bartenders and a lot of the waiters were not friendly.  They acted like they were doing you huge favor to get you a drink.  A couple of exceptions:  Shirlene at the Scotch Bonnet and Emerson the bartender.  They were wonderful.

And the biggest negative of all: sitting in Montego Bay airport waiting for our flight to go home, and already missing all our new friends.
