Our trip report is rather late I admit. Its just hard to get done with final exams, Christmas with two young kids and all those other responsibilities of real life. But for all of you who were concerned... I actually got a 93 on my final exam! So here it goes: This was our first trip to Hedo and to Jamaica. We arrived Saturday the 8th to find out we were booked in a prude gardenview room, after we were sure we paid for nude. We argued with the front desk to no avail. Then our good friend Bob S. told us to be patient and all would be fine. And of course it was. Kevin felt like he had the flu coming on and spent his first night sleeping (who sleeps at Hedo). He felt much better the next day, so it was good that he did. Our first full day we spent like almost every day... in the sun until about noon, eat some lunch, back to the pool for awhile, take a nap, shower for dinner, eat dinner, Veronicas, then the disco. All the nights really blend together after awhile! But each was really fun. The people make all the difference. We did leave the resort twice for a run... once to the right and once to the left. We didnt see much but it was nice anyway. The cat cruise was awesome. Cruising on the ocean, snorkeling and cliff diving were a real treat and I have one awesome picture of me in the net! We did have some highlights worth mentioning: Kevins scuba diving adventure, Kevin in the men-in-motion contest (he looked good!), all of Dougs jokes and the jerk chicken. And who could forget Kevins lovely demonstration of what pearls and body jewelry can do when put together. By the way, I expect close up views of all those who told me they now HAVE to get pierced :) We didnt get to spend as much time with anyone as we wanted. We had met so many people on line it was hard to keep up. We want to thank Paul and Angela and Greg and Melanie for sharing time with us. You guys were all super and we enjoyed your company. Also, Jim and Rayne, Courtney and Renata, and Robin and Nick... you guys were all fun and we didnt spend half as much time with you as we wanted to (next time!) Of course, we also want to extend our thanks to Bob and Val, Scott and Debbie, Pete and Wanda, Dave and Laina and Steve and Kelly. We ate many dinners with all of you and partied with you and had such a great time. I have to say a special thanks to Bob D. for introducing me to this whole crew and being such a good host. We want to thank Denny for being so friendly as well. You are a super person and we look forward to seeing you again. And last but never least, our good friends Bob and Fran. Even though we only spent two nights with you guys, you made our trip more enjoyable. In fact, I thanked Bob a couple times after he was gone for making my trip fantastic :) Next time well book more of our vacation with you guys. We also want to thank some of the staff too. We really enjoyed the antics of several staff members (Lucky your pictures will be in the mail soon!). They made us laugh and the party was always more fun with them around. Lucky, Roxy, Shelly, Patrick and Dave... we hope you guys are still there next year. There are other people we spent time with as well that made our vacation more enjoyable and I thank you very much too. Then there was my birthday! The big 3-0. Thank you to all the people who participated in my 30 kisses. How much fun! I was very grateful to have a cake to share with my friends. Plus I want to thank my husband, who gave me several great birthday presents over our trip. Not only is he pretty darn cute, but hes a great guy too. We had a really great time, even with the construction and the cafeteria style food and the horrible no water situation. Well be back next December to see all our new friends. Wendy & Kevin
