Joe & Lisa - WWW2001 Winter

What I Did on My Winter Vacation

Well here we are, on our way to paradise after months of anticipation (4 actually).  We had just completed our 2nd visit to Hedo in August and immediately upon our return home, we called Go Classy to book our next trip with the WWW group in December.  We were lucky to have 4 free days to use on this trip, one of those a sunshine guarantee day.  It had taken me several years to talk Joe into going to Hedo; we always went to Mexico, now I have no trouble getting him there!

Preparation-Shopping, visiting

Shopping-I actually prepared more for this trip than the previous two.  We usually just bring carry-ons, but since the airlines now only allow 1 small carry-on, we decided to actually bring 2 suitcases to check.  WOW-I get to go slutwear shopping!  I did exactly that via Dennys shopping links.  For several weeks I was receiving small plain brown wrapped packages in the mail.  I think I burned a hole in the credit card!  My favorite site was wicked weasel bikini-more on that later.  How much of my new finery did I actually get to wear?  Not much-more on that later.

Visiting-I have been a daily visitor to Dennys site for the last 4 years.  I was eager to sign up with the WWW group, thinking that it would be a lot of fun to be with a large group.  It met my expectations-more on that later.  We got to know many of our fellow WWWers via e-mail and the weekly Sunday chats.  I eagerly awaited Dennys updates to the activity list and attendee list.

During the final 3 weeks prior to the trip, I re-read ALL of the trip reports, even from previous years.  Its amazing how well you get to know the repeaters by reading thier past trip reports.

Beginnings-getting there, arriving

Getting there-Now bear with me, I know that some of you dont enjoy reading about the airport and flight stuff.  But I love reading about those experiences as well, so I am going to include mine.  Our flight was scheduled to depart at 6:00AM.  Now you have to be there 2 hours before departure.  We were 30 minutes from the airport.  We needed 1 hour to shower and get ready this put us at getting up at 2:30 in the morning.  Why go to bed? Well we didnt and paid the price for the rest of the trip.  Anyway, the flight leaves DFW on time and we get to Miami 2 hours and 20 minutes later.  Oh NO---Our connection is 2 hours late in arriving from Kennedy.  We finally board our Montego Bay flight at 1PM and arrive an hour and half later.  Oh feel that warm humid air, smell the flowers in the fresh ocean breeze.  OK, it was actually gas fumes until we left the airport.  We did have Tim Air reservations but since our flight was late we had to wait 30 minutes for the next available flight.

Arriving-It really is like returning home, the familiarity of staff faces, layout, how to get the first vodka slushie (with the extra twist of lime) quickly.  We received our requested H-Block room immediately.  We always seem to get the first floor, which I like.  I cant imagine climbing those stairs after too many vodka slushies (with extra twist of lime)!

We quickly unpacked, undressed, and headed for the hot tub.  Look at all of the people.  We have never seen the hot tub this full and WWW hasnt even started yet.

Resort

What can I say about the physical attributes of the resort that have not been said already?  Yes its old and just crying out for remodeling. But, there is a bed with lots of pillows, could use another blanket though.  Oh look at the mirror over the bed.  You can take really interesting pics for your private album using the mirror.  Which we did.  We did not have any water problems, either too hot, cold, or absent.  Its just your basic room, fully functional for what you will use it for.  I have no complaints.  On a side note, its funny how my attitude has changed, on our first trip, I thought that Hedo was such a dump with terrible amenities, and the worst beach that I have ever seen.  So we went to Braco on our next trip.  Absolutely, beautiful resort, we even had 2 bathrooms, but it was very boring.  So back to Hedo we went!  Lesson learned.  The foliage was in wonderful condition, flowers everywhere.  In the morning there were several chickens wandering the grounds between the nude buildings, brings to mind, why does the chicken cross the road?  Answer-he doesnt know either!  After 3 trips we still havent made it to the Avery.  We keep saying that we well each trip.

Towels-we had no problems getting towels; we knew all of the hiding places.

Rafts-lots, glad we didnt bring any, just check the dates to make sure they could be used safely.  You dont want to get dumped over by irate raft owners.

Food-no complaints-I thought the food was really good.  We have stayed at multiple all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and Playa del Carmen.  Believe me, the food is much better at Hedo than at the Mexican resorts.  We would eat 2 breakfasts; have lunch at Roberts (I really like the ketchup), then more lunch during the lunchtime spin.  Dinner, I just had salads and deserts, the custard crme is to die for, Joe had the actual meals.  Everything was fresh and well prepared.  Joe gained 8 pounds, I dont dare get on the scale.  The diet starts now.

Construction-Didnt bother us.  So we had to walk a little further to get to the main building.  It was the only exercise we got and after all of that food we needed it!  Besides we got 2 free days to use next year.  I would have liked Muna Hana to have been open.

Activities

We arrived 2 days prior to the official start of WWW.  The resort seemed pretty full even as early as it was.  There were many more people arriving the next day.  Well we did what we do best. LAZE- Spend all day working on our tans in the sun and water, hitting the bar as soon as it opened, talking to old friends, meeting new ones.  We are early risers and every day was pretty much the same.  Up at 6:30am, put a towel on our chairs, watch the sunrise.  I feel that is the best part of the day.  There is a serenity on the beach that relaxes you, it feels good to be alive.  Oh its now 7:15 head to the dining hall to fill up my large coffee cup so that I can start the day.  VERY IMPORTANT point-there is no equal for coffee, bring your own-I bring those dispenser packs which works very well.

Toga night-remember that we have been up for over 24 hours, so we missed it by sleeping, which we did a lot of.  We missed the WWW toga night also, for the same reason.

Friday-We eagerly await the arrival of Jim and Cynthia and actually get our lazy buts off the sand, kinda dress and go wait for them in the lobby.  We wait for about 30 minutes, get bored (and more drunk), leave and head back to the beach.  We finally meet up with them on the beach a couple of hours later.  Tonight we head to Veronicas after dinner and for the first time stay and listen to Dave.  Saw our first piece by piece strip tease, what fun!!  There was a group of travel agents who quickly left after that demonstration. hahaha..guess they couldnt take it.

Saturday-usual daytime activity described above.  WWW hot tub party, wow it was packed nipple to nipple!

Now I have lost track of the days!  So just mix and repeat.

PJ night-guess what?? Missed that as well, sleeping!!

Most nights we were in bed by 8pm, so I didnt get a chance to wear my new slutwear, so I guess Ill have to try again next trip.  Booked for August!

Highlights-Wallys in training.  Training our men to be certified Wallys no matter where the action, hot tub, sybian viewing, risqu posing for pictures in sexy wicked weasel bikinis past Sandals.  I must say that the men passed brilliantly!

-Jerk chicken at the hot tub

-Sybian FOUR times!!!!

-Our new Canadian friends, Mike, Marg, and Brian.  You guys were a lot of fun!

Mike-next time bring your wife, so that you too can be a certified WWW-Wally With Weasel

Final remarks-

Thanks- Jim and Cynthia you guys are the best, thanks for the Sybian experience.  Now just think, if they would make the base heated, and covered with soft sheepskin, you wouldnt need a man!

John and Nancy-Our fellow Texans, loved your towels!

Diane-for pulling the group together and giving up much of your vacation time to care for others.  I dont know how you ever managed to learn everyones name!

And last but not least-Denny (with the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen) for without your terrific website and all of the work that you put into it at no charge to us I might add, we would have never taken the jump to go to Hedo the first time.  I am eternally grateful to you.

Hugs and kisses until next WWW in December!
