Its Better the Second Time
We
have been back for two weeks and have gone through the whole Christmas
craziness and I am still on a high from this trip to Hedo.
When people ask about our trip to Jamaica, I just have to say:
Oh my God, we had such a GREAT time.
It was like a cocktail party for seven days.
It was like summer camp where you get to be best friends for a week,
then you dont see them for a year, then you see them the next year and it
is as if you were never apart.
Except
that for us, it was a two year hiatus, which in my book, is much too long.
For one thing, we had to take a lot of shit for missing last year.
For another, it is too long to go without the fun, the high, the
healing of Hedo. And mostly, it
is too long to go without seeing people that somehow you really care about.
Everyone
has lots of advice for virgins. My
advice is simple, after you go, go again.
The first trip was great. The
second was so much better. We
knew what to expect: from the place, from the people there and from each
other. We went with confidence
and dove headlong into the fray as soon as our feet touched ground. (Next year we might have to try a few things while still in
the air). And obviously the best
part was that we already knew some people well, which made it even easier to
get to know more people, and so on, and so on.
Each of them added to the wonderful experience this was.
People
often talk about traveling to Negril and I usually skip right over it, so fast
forward to the next paragraph if you wish.
But this trip is worthy of mention only because it went like clockwork.
In spite of the warnings about long lines through airport security, we
checked in and zipped through the line, to wait at the gate.
Air Jamaica treated us well and it is always fun to start the trip
right with the 9 AM Red Stripe. We
went straight to TimAir, a minimal wait for the pilot to show up and a quick
flight to buzz the Hedo beach. We
even got an excellent room, just like we requested, without a wait or getting
lunch first. It could not have
gone better. It was even fun
because we got to meet up with Randy and Colleen, DC Hedo friends at the
airport.
Okay,
lets get a couple of minor negatives out of the way.
The construction is still going on and is likely to for some time.
One must understand that this is Jamaica and work is done on a
different schedule. So if the
resort reports that certain things will be done by a certain time, take it
with a grain of salt and move on with a good attitude.
There was lots of construction going on:
water slide (only 2 feet too short and laid out to go right through a
tree), splash pool, hot tub above the disco (with room for at least four good
friends), many walkways, skating rink, Japanese restaurant.
The only real problem was it made for a longer walk from the nude side
to the dining area, and walking in those high heals through the sand to get to
the disco was not easy. Janie had
trouble with it too. But the
resort was apologetic and gave us all two free days on our next trip to make
up for our trouble, so all was good. The
only other irritant was the apparent reduction in the number of staff in
the dining room, making for slower service and maybe a poorer attitude among
those who were working there. Hopefully,
Hedo fixes this.
A
highlight for us was getting certified for scuba.
We had planned to do that before we went, but it didnt work out, so
we went ahead with the resort course again (which by the way is an excellent
way to try scuba in a safe environment and get some good dives to 30-35 feet).
In the process we discovered it would be easier and cheaper to get
certified there than it would be at home ($300 each), without being too
intrusive on our other Hedo fun. It did turn out to take more time than we expected and we did
rush through the classroom stuff, so we might want to supplement it with a
refresher course, but we did get our cards, we had some very good dives and we
had a great time.
The
WWW group was great, and being part of a group can really add to the fun.
It is mainly a good way to meet more people.
And this is an excellent group, with many really fun and respectful
people. The group activities
added to the fun: the cat cruise,
the hot tub get leied party and the Sunday night meet and greet.
And thanks to Mike and Beth for getting the hats for us, even though
they werent there this time. They
were there in spirit. Last trip
we made little stories about hiding where we really went.
Now I wear my hat proudly and almost dare people to ask what Wet, Wild
and Wicked is all about.
The
gathering of toys and gifts for the school kids, teachers and children of the
Hedo staff was very impressive and hearing Diane tell of taking them to the
school was truly moving. It is a
neat touch that this wild and crazy group who is off to the islands for a week
of hedonism can pull together to make a bit of a difference.
Let
me just dissolve to some highlights, in no particular order:
~Second place in the dance contest, losing to the obvious professional pairing of James & Leesa. How can you mind losing to them. In fact we got so hot from that display we all had to take a quick nude dip in the prude pool, much to the chagrin of some guy who was somehow upset when those nasty nudists made him take his clothes off when he went to the nude beach.
~Roxy-
You go girl. Such
enthusiasm, such fun, such a body. She
always had time to make us laugh and feel good.
The dance with Roxy and Marsha, even ending up on stage, was really a
rush. Dont tell anyone, but I
think she kind of turned Janie on too.
~Games
in the hot tub: Actually playing
dice, even though Zilla thought it was way too tame.
And car wash, with the double line of ladies doing a very nice hand
rubbed polish on the guys who spun their way through the car wash. I went three times and would have kept going all night if the
ladies would have been willing.
~Mr.
Jack Rabbit- lets just say: OH MY GODDDDD!
~Cat
Cruise- Thanks to Steve and Char for the jello shooters.
Jumping off of the cliffs (another rush) and the wild time those ladies
were having being splashed around in the cargo net.
~PJ
Night: Judge Julie and her dog Licker, Edie and not one but two
slaves taking first place, Phyllis looking unusually virginal.
They have to find a way to make those FMPs more comfortable.
I wanted to dance all night, but those shoes were keeping Janie in
obvious pain (and this wasnt a good kind of pain).
I thought dancing in the crowded disco wearing practically nothing
surrounded by a lot of gyrating people in all sorts of enticing outfits was
one of the most erotic times at Hedo.
~Jim
providing purple motherfuckers for everyone, including the jug delivered from
the bar to the hot tub late at night. Then
having the security guard put him in charge of the hot tub.
It is good to be king. It
was good to be a Jim.
~Pastafaris- two excellent dinners with excellent company.
It is always a treat there, without the distraction of the stage
entertainment.
~Just
enough PDA to keep it interesting, in spite of the obvious complete lack of
sex police.
~Star
watching on the point, only to be interrupted by giggles from a couple of
chairs over. We were sure Jim and Lisa went out there just so Patty, Rupe,
Janie and I could come look for shooting stars with them.
~Trying
in vain to one up Jim & Lisa in finding creative places to have sex.
We finally figured the only place we could do it that they hadnt was
in their room.
~Magical
Mystery Tour- Thanks to Steve for
organizing the foray into Negril. A
stop at Margaritaville to piss off the people there by swimming naked out to
the trampoline and give new meaning to the Man Show idea of Girls bouncing
on trampolines. One phrase
overheard from one of the uptight customers was, Were not going to go on
that trampoline again until they clean it with Clorox.
Followed by the requisite shopping and a sunset stop at Ricks.
Very nicely done. I dont
know what happened on the way back. After
the stop at Jennies for brownies, everyone on the other bus lost their
clothes.
~Volleyball-
Great fun everyday, with lots of good volunteers to clean sand off of any one
who fell. Of course there was the
day we had to resort to stealing the ball from the prude court because Hedo
didnt seem to have two balls, and the prude group thought they would come
over and play us a game to see who would keep the ball.
Lead by Steve, we got a couple of naked folks on the prudes team and
somehow managed to lose the game and make them go back to their side of the
fence. Of course we always needed
Coach Linda to keep us playing right.
~Veronicas- This was not my favorite spot the last trip, but we
thoroughly enjoyed piano man Dave, singing along and Janie and I even sang
with the microphone. That is a
real stretch for me. Thanks Doug, for the cues and harmony.
Of course the ever present chance that Dave might get a lovely lady to
take it off piece by piece on top of the piano always makes it a fun place to
be.
~Wet
T shirt contest a clean sweep by the WWW ladies.
And what a fine job they did. Sorry,
Jean, no caramel sauce this time.
And
there were the people:
~TWayne
and Thea- They did come up for air a couple of times.
It took most of the ladies of WWW to complete TWaynes dance card
after Thea left..
~Rupe-
have towel will travel.
~Patty-
How did we manage to miss those foot rubs.
~Joe
& Kris- Kris you somehow know
how to always make Janie feel wanted.
~The
Partymons- Making sure we all had a good time. Love the special treatment in the car wash.
~Dennis-
The ultimate in single guys going to Hedo and having fun.
With that tongue, you are sure to make some friends.
How is your eye?
~HedoBob,
TWayne, Danimal. The best
group of single guys you could ask for. (Well
maybe TWayne wasnt really a single guy.
~Randy
and Jean- Just good folks
from Texas, or Oklahoma, or was it Texas.
Jean was truly outstanding in the Wet Tshirt contest.
~Chris
and Doug- What a treat to know
you, and not because you are a celebrity.
I couldnt have imagined the conversation turning to personal sexual
experience in a hot tub within 5 minutes of meeting someone with anyone else
but you Chris, and let me personally thank you for organizing the car wash. Doug, what a great man with the tunes. We will work on some words for the next trip.
~Chris
& Elaine- Congrats on the vow
renewal. And shoot Elaine, even I
think hes sexy. And quite the
bold move right there by Roberts grille.
Bernie
& Elaine- Where is that piss bucket.
It is good to be King.
~Jim
& Lisa- Somehow, we must find a way to get to the Northern Rockies.
~Diane-
What a doll. You make it so much
more fun for everyone and special for the kids at the school.
You can put a tattoo on me anytime.
~Denny-
What can we say. Thanks so
much for your tireless effort to keep up the website and make sure everyone
has a good time. We wouldnt
have found this wonderful place and these wonderful people without you.
Regrets-
Again, its about the people. There
were so many neat people on the message boards the chat room or just on the
list, that we wanted to get to know, and somehow the week slipped away and we
didnt happen to meet some of them. And
somehow in the heat of it all, we talk to everyone, but hardly get to know
anyone. You can spend a week with
someone at Hedo and not know what they do, if they have kids and the other regular
parts of their life. Of course,
you might find out which sex toys they like the best. Maybe that is part of the fun of Hedo, but there are
definitely some people there (and you know who you are), that we would like to
really get to know. I guess we
will just have to do some traveling this year, or, heaven forbid, go back to
Hedo again next year (What was that song about Wild Horses).
Our
biggest Naked Body Hugs and all of our Hedo Respect to the Hedo staff and the
people we met there who made this such a fantastic week for us.
