Freds Story.....
Ill leave it to Lori to fill in the details, as she kept the notes...I just want to scatter-shoot with some observations, opinions and maybe a few facts......
First the people, you know, those "things" that make Hedo the special place that it is;
The guests, especially the WWWers are incredibly nice, friendly, non-judgmental, fun-loving, sexy, sexual, crazy and laid back.
The Jamaicans....love their attitude and from what I saw their "hard work" ethic.....
A few examples of both:
Denny & Diane, effort, hard work & "can do" personified......lots of fun too...
Canadians; A number of times in the past, I have had occasions to interface with them and quite frankly, I didnt like them...Joyce & Dieter have changed my view on Canadians forever, strong, but sensitive are these two and hopefully now lifetime friends....John & Jenn, you helped change my view as well, if you should happen to read this, send us an e-mail...
Warren & Denise and John & Nancy; Two wonderful couples, very different, yet very much alike...we spent a huge part of our time with them, engaged in wonderful conversation and watching the fun together...love and respect them all, what more can I say....again, hopefully lifetime friends...(keep the jokes flowing, John)
Zillagrl is a fraud!!! On these boards, she comes across as a "bad-ass", a real bitch, but in reality, she is warm, beautiful, friendly, caring, with the most beautiful dimpled smile youve ever seen that she wears all the time! You better hang on to her, David, shes a keeper....
Dennis is a "one-of-a-kind"....its like he BELONGS to everybody; Always wears a big smile, funny, friendly & courteous to all....some intangibles that sets him apart...
Cherbunny DOES belong to everybody...(just kidding, Cheryl)....everybody likes/loves Cher, to me she is Cherbaby and is really special....(Dont forget, you OWE me, Cherbaby)...
Jim & Cynthia...you didnt get to stay long enough, but enjoyed you, while you were there, hopefully more time next year...same thing with Simon & Lisa....hope to see you guys before next Dec....
Courtney & Renata, congrats & best wishes...enjoyed what little time we got to see you, hopefully more next time...
Nick; Youre a bad boy, Nick....(I think I heard that line in a movie, once, but its fits our Nick, naughty, but nice) Youre GOOD, man and Robin, youre a doll!!!
Chris Santilli was a pleasant surprise to see (meet)....she and Doug are fun and both very talented & creative....was right in the mix with every thing that was going on....
Soooooooooooooo many others: Jim & Linda, Hal, HedoBob, Keith & Kathy, Rupe & Patty, Steve & Nancy, Bill & Cindy, Bruce & DJ, Paul & Angela, Greg & Melanie (he really didnt mean that beer comes first, Melanie...it was just a macho thing, lol), Bill & Annie, Kevin & Wendy, Chuck & Lynne, Frank and Dan......and the sincerest apologies to anyone that I left out, but Im not use to meeting so many new friends all at once....I can unequivocally state that I made more friends in this one week of vacation at Hedo than I have in all my previous vacations combined and were talking hundreds of short to long periods over too many years to mention....
The Jamaicans:
Staff; Of all the staff members that I came into contact with, only one was I disappointed with...he shall remain nameless, but it was obvious that if you tipped him you got much better service than if you did not....I tip AFTER good service and was more than generous to many members of the staff, but did not and would not tip this one individual.....All the others were wonderful....
Delroy is a jewel....hes special as a person and as a bartender (respect, every time, mon).....Our room attendant was very special (we took her name card from the dresser mirror, but now cant find it, beautiful name, but not one wed ever heard before)....she left Lori fresh cut blossoms daily in an improvised vase and generally provided excellent service....Augustos is a very hard worker with a great attitude and keen sense of humor....the "poolman", Stafford, was funny as hell....his story that he treats the pool water in such a way that it makes mens dicks little so that he will have the biggest one at the pool was funny as could be with him telling it!!!!.....Robert has great lunch fare and a great smile to go with it....Gracie is a very hard worker and also has that great Jamaican smile....come to think about it, most all of the staff has that smile....loved Marcia, dining room attendant.....Charlie makes an incredible omelet and has a good song, too....ECs that stood out...Ashley, Roxie, Sexi, Lucky and dont remember any of the other names.....One of those beautiful young ladies said that her biggest fantasy was to sit down naked in a nest of killer bees and have them sting her clit all at once....can you guess which one that was?
Food was more than adequate...loved breakfasts, lunches (at Roberts), midnight snacks and our one meal at Pastifaris.......main courses for dinner in the main dining room left a lot be to desired, so I mostly ate "around" the main dishes and around dinners period....
Overall, I found the service and the attitude of the staff to be excellent.....and I do have a lot to compare it to....
An observation about negative comments.....It is very noticeable that very few negative comments come from first timers, especially from those of us that read Dennys message boards, trip reports, etc.....we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Denny for providing this very valuable service to us, along with the whole WWW thing......I suspect that many of us, on subsequent trips will complain much more than we do now about the food, the service, the lack of nude side improvements, and so on..... "its the nature of the beast"......Ill say this; MY BEST DAY AT MOST ANY OTHER VACATION I HAVE EVER HAD WAS NOT AS GOOD AS MY WORST DAY AT HEDO!!!
A comical story about the notion that people at nudist sites "dont LOOK" at other peoples private parts....at the WWW welcome party, each visitor was provided with a sheet of paper with a list of twenty/thirty items for each to identify.....one of the items on the list was to provide the name (signature) of a natural blond....well my lovely wife, Lori, a "provable" natural blond was sought out by about forty guests for her signature, without a single one of them ASKING her if she was a "natural"!!!!!!
Another interesting thing happened to me at the main dining area the one time that I ate lunch there.....it seems that by then I had already had quite a bit to drink (who hadnt?) and needed to relieve myself rather badly.....upon entering the mens room located there, I found two young ladies inside cleaning the place....for a moment, I just stood there, as I was fairly desperate.....in just a few seconds, one of them said, "come on in, no problem, mon"......so I did, and they just kept on doing their business as I did mine!!!....new experience for me, though....
What more can I say....I love the Jamaican people, their attitude, their beautiful Island and I have over forty new friends and countless others that I observed, admired, exchanged smiles, "good mornings/afternoons/evenings" or nods with.....
What I have is MUCH worse than DIF......I have the CWTGB blues!!!!!
I have enclosed a photo in my trip report that I am reasonably sure almost none of you WWWers saw all week......it's a sunrise!!!! I doubt that collectively, all of you did not see as many sunrises as my lovely bride and I saw....I think that most will agree that this "Sunrise over Hedo" beats all the sunsets that occurred the week of 12/7/01 thru 12/14/01.......

What else can I add to the "book" Fred wrote. He covered just about everything, and Ill say "ditto" as far as Hedo being all about "the people." I was somewhat overwhelmed with the friendliness, kindness, and general respect that most all of the guests showed, as well as the Jamaicans (very, very few exceptions.)
With my being new to the "nude" resort idea, upon arrival I walked down to the pool with Fred in a thong and cover-up (he was embarrassed that I wore clothing and said "after all this is a NUDE resort", I was just plain nervous) within fewer than 10 minutes I was naked and comfortable. Friends on the board try to tell us "newbies" that well be quite comfortable .... well, believe it. I would never in my wildest dreams have believed Id be side-by-side with so many naked people and not thinking anything about it, or being in a hot-tub with barely wiggle room and having a ball.
To all of the wonderful friends we met (Freds already labeled everyone, so I wont reiterate), thank you for making it such a special trip! As for Denny & Diane, you both are due, and have from us an enormous amount of respect and adoration for all that is entailed to pull these trips together several times a year.
