Johns Trip Report

WWW 2001 Summer

We have posted a trip report under both of our names. This report I post under my own for it is the report of what I have experienced because of Hedonism II and the wonderful WWW group.

The trip to Hedonism II was a journey of the soul for me.  My goal to break down the barriers and facades that I have built over the years.  To release the baggage I have been dragging around.  This trip is indeed how you choose to make it.  You can focus upon the water, which decides whether it wants to be hot, or not.  Or you can focus upon the food and decide whether you like it or not.  You can focus upon the towels, which were rare or allow the warmth and energy of the sun to dry your skin.  Your journey to this land of wonder and freedom called Hedo is indeed your choice in how you see it and experience it.  To stay up through the night partying or relax with a loved one in the hot tub and take in the love and stars and ocean breeze.  In Hedo, I chose to grow from within and see how far I can push my spirit and my love.  I chose to grow closer to Judy and to push our love for each other to new levels.  Laying in the shade under palm trees naked with the one you love is a joy I have not experienced until Hedo.  Holding each other in the hot tub while love songs that we chose played through headphones.  Blending our souls and love into one.   Floating in the ocean in snorkeling gear while watching the life in the ocean.  All living in harmony with each other while holding the hand of my love.  All life in the ocean doing what they were meant to do and being what they were meant to be.  Fish and plants glowing in their color and splendor of who they are.  Then playing with others in the pool and seeing them in their true colors and allowing the bonds of life shed from them so they can be themselves.  Too often we live our lives forgetting who we are and where we truly want to go.  We get caught up in the fight and rush of survival and forget why we are here and what we want to achieve in this life.  Hedo allowed me to touch that part of me which I have let lie dormant for so long.  Hedo allowed me the place and time to look within and explore all aspects of myself and life.  Hedo allowed me to release and let go of life for a while.  I found my love for life again and saw that my love for Judy was stronger than it was 18 years ago when we met.  Watching her grow and release her bonds and break through her boundaries that she had placed upon herself was a beauty to see.  Helping her to enjoy her sexuality and be that beautiful woman that she truly is and yet has somehow forgotten over the years.   Hedo is how you make it indeed.  For it is a microcosm of the world at its best and at its worst.  How you see that is your own choice.  For we can choose to focus on the negative or on the positive.

3:30 am in the hot tub the first night at Hedo was one of the most beautiful moments I saw while at Hedo.  Couples caught up in their love for one another.  Holding each other no one talking, no one laughing.  Just holding each other exploring their love and the sensations of each other.  Each couple alone in their own world seeing nothing but their mate.  The water was electrified with the energy of their love and magnified by each couple.  It wasnt just mates loving one another but souls joined by the bond of love blending their souls as one.

On one level you see the party and the drinking and smoking.  You see the foods and enjoyment of meeting new friends yet on another level you bond with others for life and experience the freedom of being yourself and others being as they truly are.  No bonds holding us back, no facades to hide behind.  Just the truth and beauty that we are all human and part of something much bigger than we are.  That is what Hedo was to me.  I know what I have learned and felt has forever changed who I am and helped me refocus on what is truly important in this life.  Focus on the love of my wife, family and all those that come into my life.  It gives me the courage to constantly strive to better myself and to always look to help others whenever I can and to graciously accept the help of others as well.  But mostly to keep the facades I have built to remain removed forever and never allow them to build around me and insulate me from the beauty that is forever there.

Thank you everyone and thank you Denny and Diane for an experience, which has helped me, refocus on what is truly important in this life.

This trip has been a trip of spirit as well as physical.  This trip will never be forgotten.
