Rebeccas Hedo Trip Report WWW 12/2000
It seems the hardest part of any trip report is actually
getting started, with the knowledge that nothing in writing can ever really
convey the experience at Hedo.
This was only my second trip to Hedo, and my first as a
single. Being single at Hedo is a pretty interesting combination of
independence, excitement, and loneliness. Its great not to be attached to
anyone, and its also kind of sad not to be attached to anyone. But dont
get the wrong idea I had an incredible time, and would go again in a
heartbeat, single or coupled. But ultimately, I think Hedo is about sharing
the time and fun with someone special.
I arrived on Saturday afternoon, and surprisingly a room
was ready so I went right there. However, upon closer examination of the shoes
in the room, my roommate seemed to have fairly large feet. Upon further
examination of the name on the luggage, my roommate turned out to be a guy!
Back to the front desk, where they acknowledged that this was a very unusual
mistake, and then over to a room on the prude side for the night.
When I finally hit the nude beach, my first meeting with
a WWW buddy was with Wayne (George W) and it was one of those great oh, so
youre moments, since wed been instant messaging for a while before
the trip. Thats probably one of the best things about getting to know folks
ahead of time via email, messenger, chat room or whatever. You get to have
that moment!
The next days room change to the nude side went
surprisingly smoothly, and I ended up not having a roommate the entire trip.
What luck! I also finally met Dan Danimal a long-awaited event
‑ after about a year of corresponding with him.
The rest of the trip passed in a blur of sunscreen, vodka
& tonics, and surprisingly little sleep (compared to my usual, anyway).
Highlights included the bus tour and the nude catamaran trip with fellow
WWWers. Those were both things I didnt do last time, and am glad I had the
chance to join in this time. Other things that I missed last time included PJ
party, Battle of the Sexes, Wet T-Shirt contest, and a full-fledged toga
night. All hilariously funny events punctuated by the extraordinary creativity
and enthusiasm of the WWW crowd.
Other highlights most definitely included meeting Hedo
Bob and seeing first hand his blossoming romance with Maaaagie. Of course I
enjoyed meeting everyone else, and thanks to the couples who made me feel
welcome Steve & Nancy, Bernie & Elaine, Rupe & Pat, Steve
& Char, Kuno & Nora, Jim & Lisa (both so very hot), Dave &
Ellen, and Alan & Kathleen (sorry if I forgot anyone). Thanks too, to all
the great single folks I met Wayne, Dan, Bob, Roland, Richard, Gerry,
Bruce (wait a minute I didnt seem to meet any single women!). And no
trip report would be complete without thanking Denny and Diane since they are
integral to what we all know as Hedo magic.
Best to all for a wonderful new year, and hope to see you again soon.
