Kuno & Nora (WWW2000 Winter)

 December 9 - 17.

Our winter 2000 WWW trip to Hedo II proved  to be most keenly anticipated and planned for.  Checking the message boards, trip reports, attendee lists, chat room, e-mails, etc., etc.  Buying gifts for the children, theme night outfits, purple fabric, Mardi Gras ribbon and beads, Cure Care, ordering glow stuff from Bob and the special  WWW hat from Mike and Beth.  Packing, rechecking the theme nights, trying on the togas,  re-packing.

Finally, time to go to the airport in freezing weather.  Fly to St. Louis, stay at Airport Marriott.   Early morning an almost empty flight to MoBay.  No lines at Immigration or Customs.  TimAir flight to Negril.  Taxi to Hedo II.  Oozing with anticipation......we had arrived.

At the front desk, after much paper shuffling, get news we have no reservation.  Somehow I do not believe this to be true.  Time for Kuno to get some Red Stripes.  Reservation voucher in hand, and after filling out forms, we do get a garden view room with promise of an ocean view room the next day.  Go to room, drop everything, take off clothes, go to Delroys, in pool meet Bill and Annie with whom we had exchanged pre trip e-mails.   Next day, again, another promise of an ocean view room the following day, when we finally, after much ado,  permanently settled into a room which we had booked.

In everything we participated with joy and enthusiasm:  Tattoo applications by Denny and Diane, Welcoming party--we were already happy that we had decided to come with the WWW group.  Magical Mystery Tour--our first time outing to Negril, margarita at Margarittaville, nude swimming in the ocean--sorry, I did not bring my swimsuit and the water looked so inviting.   Polynesian dinner theme--we were happy to see so much participation and everyone looked so authentic;  pre PJ tattoo applications by Denny and Diane.  Diane, Kuno enjoyed your application technique.  Denny, you were so cool.  PJ night--we danced nonstop and the Disco was livelier than on previous trips.  When leaving the Disco, a group of young Argentinean guys asked me to be photographed with them.  Kuno is hoping that the photo is not floating around the Internet.  I told the guys that Dont Cry for me Argentina is our favorite song to dance to, and right away we broke into singing.  I dont think Kuno was aware of what was happening as he was busy ordering white wine.........The nude catamaran cruise was something we had never done before and therefore it was especially anticipated.  Kuno worried that I was going to fall overboard by sitting on the edge of the catamaran.  I enjoyed a short swim in the deep waters, and Kuno played photographer.  We did not have the courage to jump off the cliffs but admired the crowd who did, especially Stacey.   Black and Glow night was very special since this was new to us.  Everyone looked great with their glow jewelry, and some people not with the WWW group asked where they too could get the glow stuff.  Toga night was fun, then Bare as you dare night  which Kuno enjoyed especially.  Saturday night there being no scheduled activities, we had a pleasant dinner in the good company of Harold, Lisa, Don and Donna at Pastafaris.

Sometimes Kuno had to nudge me to keep up with the higher level of his boundless enthusiasm and energy.  I have discovered that white wine, and only white wine,  effects on how happy I become.  Upon leaving Pastafaris I was very happy, dancing around and stopping to have my picture taken with a lady with the thickest, most beautiful hair and the talented tall guy who won first prize in the male in motion contest.  Unfortunately, the state of advanced happiness erased names from my memory.......

There were the daily outings to the beach, pool bar and pool, and nightly hot tub.......everywhere meeting and talking to exceptionally friendly people........Denny and Diane, a special thanks to both of you for making this wonderful trip possible;  Don and Donna, for remembering us from a previous trip to Hedo II,  and Im not going to mention the other thing you remembered me for;  Roland, thanks for looking out for me on my late night mission from the hot tub to the main bar;  Cindy and Tom, Harold and Lisa, we enjoyed your company very much;  Robert and Barbara,  thanks for the tulip growing tip and your hard earned Hedo $$$$ we used for a bottle of Blue Mountain Coffee liquor plus had some to give away;  Rebecca, nice talking to you; Steve and Nancy, thanks for organizing the Magical Mystery Tour; Jim and Lauren, good luck to the two of you;  Bob, a special thanks for getting the glow stuff;  Dan, we enjoyed talking to you and we cheered for you on your first ever body in motion contest, you are now a pro;  Scott and Mariann, thanks for sharing info on possible future job opportunity for Kuno;  Ken and Sandy and Tom and Carol, well see you in February on the nude cruise; Curtis and Lori, hope you got a snow boot for your cast, Curtis.  We did not meet or get to know all of the WWWers, some of you we recognized and just enjoyed seeing you there.  We had a blast, and we look forward to next year.    On the last day, we got a few more rays of sunshine on the nude beach.  At night, we were back and freezing in snow covered and subzero Nebraska.
