This trip was made possible due to a random search one day using yahoo. After typing in Hedo 2, numerous sites were listed but one stood out above the others-you guessed it DennyP.com. I had been to Hedo a few years ago with a few friends and had a great time but felt it would have been even better had I gone as a couple. I wanted to go back to Hedo and MaryBeth wanted to start a family so I convinced her to go before we started to seriously check to see if my sperm could make it upstream. After reading the July WWW trip reports I knew we had to make the December trip.
This was definitely a trip of a lifetime for us. Denny was so
right when he said that you couldnt explain Hedo to others who havent
been there. Even though there were lots highlights we really enjoyed relaxing
and doing nothing and that is something that would normally drive me crazy.
When we got back home and friends asked how the trip was we would always smile
and tell them we had a great time but we could never due it justice and we
knew it was just something they would have to experience for themselves.
As said many times before it truly is the people that you meet that make the
Hedo experience what it is. Everyone that we met from the WWW group was nice
but there were a few that made our trip special. We wanted to thank Rupe &
Patty for their kindness and for all the invites to dinner with the group,
Bernie & Elaine for being witnesses at our renewal and helping to start
the trend of reception before the ceremony, Steve & Nancy for organizing
the partymon tour, Tex & Julie for making all the Jello-shots, Jim &
Leesa for somehow swimming back to the boat with several containers of hot
wings to share with everyone, CT Bob for being the character he is and
bringing all the stuff for glow night, Jerry & Edie for taking good care
of Maaagie these past few weeks.
On my last trip I didnt earn a single Hedo buck so I was determined to get
a few this time. We earned them for doing things such as volleyball (beach
& pool), scavenger hunt, rock painting but could never earn any for eating
jerk chicken like a few others did. We were able to turn them in and get
enough good Jamaican rum to hold us over for awhile. We must also thank both
Denny & Diane. Denny, thank you for making the WWW trips possible and for
all your hard work maintaining the web site. Diane, thanks for helping to get
the group closer together via your participation in the chat room and message
board. Again, It was great meeting everyone and we hope to see everyone again
on a future trip.
