Bob & Beth (aka Ro & Med) - 07/00 (WWW2000 Summer)
Thursday July 6th
We got up WAY too early to get to O'Hare field for our flight
to MoBay. Met Rastabill and went to the first class lounge to relax and
have a drink. (Have to get ready for Hedo). Bill twisted my arm and MADE
me have a drink or two or three-LOL. Left on time and had a nice trip
down. Made our way to TimAir and awaited the arrival of all who were
sharing the plane with us to Negril. Their planes were late arriving so
I think the bus actually beat us. Oh well, got HOME and checked in, no
problem. We were early so had to wait a while for the room keys. Went to
the dining area and sat with Jeff and Kim, Tom and Barb and the rest of our
group. Got our room keys, luggage was delivered and off to the
beach! Relaxed most of the rest of the day. Made the toga contest but
lost the fastest off and on. The only time I ever did. Couldn't get the
damn toga off-LOL
Friday July 7th
I was supposed to get up early to meet Diane at the front
desk. OOPS, glad Beth got up and made it! All I remember is being
awakened by being called lazy something or other. I deserved that! The
rest of the day was a blur with all the new people coming in.
To keep this short, I'll combine the rest of the days
here. Besides, I can't remember what happened which day-LOL! I
made the beach early most mornings and had coffee with the early birds.
Thanks for the company Jeff, Kim, Rob, Damian, Don, Bill and all. I
never realized how nice the beach is in the morning before the music
starts. Service in Pastafari was even slower than usual, I fell asleep
waiting for food one night. The food in the dining area overall was
pretty good. Made the PJ contest, didn't win. Our group did quite
well all week in contests, though! A clean sweep in the wet T
contest! The reception Denny arranged for us in the disco was very nice,
good food and great people! Loved glow night! The purple togas
were a big hit, and I won THAT one. I think I remember being sidetracked
after that contest and Veronica's-hehe. The hot tub was about normal,
sometimes busy, sometimes not. Champaign conned me into playing games on
the prude beach (nude of course) and I had a ball. They were actually pretty
nice people. I didn't know they even had a prude beach-LOL.
Last Day (Friday 14th)
Hung on the beach most of the day. Thanks Tom and Barb for the
use of your room to dump our stuff! Left about 3 PM for quick flight to
MoBay. Our AJ flight was delayed about an hour, but we drank the lounge
out of Rum Cream. Left and made good time back to O'Hare.. No
problems with our plane--hehe
If you made it this far, sorry for rambling so much! I'll let
Med do her own report. She probably remembers a whole lot more than I
do.
It was GREAT meeting all of the friends from last year and all
the new ones from this trip!
