I think its no secret that most of us drink a great deal more at Hedo than we do at when we're at home. Amazing that the words, "Free liquor" and "a bar is open from 10a.m. to you say when" result in a run on alcoholic beverages.

What do you drink at Hedo? What funny stories do you have about the results of over-imbibing?

My first trip to the nude pool found me near the kiosk where the softdrinks were dispensed. I noticed what appeared to be a strawberry slushy machine and thought I would give it a try. It was good but I felt I needed a little alchohol in my system so I took my mug to the bar and asked for a couple of shots of rum to liven it up. I did that all day and into the evening (what I remember of it.) I didn't find out until the next day that the "slushy" machines were already mixed with rum and I was triple dipping.

I still drink from those machines on occaison but I don't alter them to the point they alter me!

Humming bird or dirty banana.
Years ago I first discovered the slushy machine. I drank 5 or 6 straight down. I walked or staggered back to by room only to discover I didn't know which room was mine. They all look the same when you had too much to drink. I knocked on 2 or 3 doors but they were not my room. Lucky I knew my wife was in the shower so I called out her name as I walked by the louvered bathroom windows. After 5 minutes or so I heard my name called out from one of the windows and I headed for that room.

I usually stick with Red Stripe now. On my first trip to H2, we spent most of the first day in the nude pool. Being a Tequila drinker, I was drinking margaritas "all day" and when we got ready to head back to the room I think the bouyancy of the water was what was holding me upright. We made it back to the room, but I lost my hat and sandals along the way. Never made it to dinner that night. That's why I stick to Red Stripe now.

Be mindful of the Atomic Shots! I was just there with the International Delights group who introduced me to this amazing drink. After 3 Atomic's I found that I was introducing myself to people whom I had met and chatted with only hours before! I really think that drink knocked a few hours of memories right out of my head sleep smile

BTW, can't wait to try them again grin

For breakfast, I drink oj with a splash (yeah, right) of champagne.
After breakfast, at the pool, it's a Bloody Mary.
I eventually switch to a vodka slush with a spash of flavored liquor.
Around 4, with my jerk chicken, I'll treat myself to a mudslide.
With dinner, I'll have a few martinis
Dessert is rum cream
I don't drink much after dinner unless we're doing shots of some kind.
Ok, I'll drink whatever you give me. LOL

We mix it up regularly, but probably drink more red stripe than anything. Vodka & Ting, spiced rum & diet, dirty banana, mudslide, strawberry dac/pina colada (do like that they are self-serve!). Can't do too many of the sugary drinks tho.

No funny stories about over-imbibing, but I do think the alcohol had a lot to do with someone's dancing on top of a piano to Mustang Sally.... wink

Dave drinks Red Stripe. In the morning, I start with a large, stong cup of Tea with a good shot of Rum Cream. In the Afternoon, I switch to fruity drinks.

Love the beautiful Jamaican rum Appleton VX or sometimes the Extra depending on what the back bar has. Don't like the white overproof!

Appleton's and pineapple. G&Ts. Cuervo white, cointreau and a splash of sweetened lime juice. Rum punch, with a rum floater on top. And of course... woo-woos. smile

I confess that I am the dullest drinker to ever visit Hedo. I drink VO or CC by day, and switch to Crown Royal at night. My first full day record is 11 drinks, spaced to make sure that I wasn't.

We now drink mostly Vodka/Cranberry or Vodka/Ting with the odd tequila shot or dirty banana now and then.

A few years ago Paulette introduced me to her Mind Erasers..... drink with extreme caution!!

Depending on the day (and the mood) I have a few favorites. Purple Rain, because it's like drinking grape slushies. I think the active ingredient is Vodka. Or maybe go with coconut rum and pineapple juice, very nice fruity taste. Or just the old favorite, Jack & Coke. I never drink more than 4 or five in an afternoon... Of course those are in my Bubba Mug.

So cool that you made it all the way around the bar, I have tried for 8 years and always seem to forget which one I stopped at the day before and have to start all over again...

Just to point out, Denny has a pretty extensive list of Hedo drinks.

May have a look for some ideas.

Jamaican Delight, or rum punch generally for me, along with whatever shots or assorted other things end up in front of me, assuming of course that sort of thing is likely to happen...

B goes for the Vodka Slushes primarily. After a few of them one day she had a rather tipsy discussion with Delroy in which he told her he could turn any drink into a slushie... Unbeknownst to me, she challenged him to make a Red Stripe slushie, then presented it to me at the table. Being as how I was already a bit into my cups too, I actually tried it.

Most. Vile. Concoction. ever. made.

I would drink a row of purple MF's first...

Hmmm, I drank a row of purple MF's once. For the next two years I thought I'd never tried the stuff - I seriously couldn't remember anything after the last one...

All in all, I'd rather be a hippy.
