Denny can you shed any light on the rumors that H2 will be raising it's prices by perhaps as much as 20% in 2011 due to H3 closing?

I haven't heard that, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. (Glad I locked in rates for my next trip already though!)

The 2011 prices for H2 have not yet been released by SuperClubs. I suspect they were awaiting the SuperFun Resort announcement so I expect to see the rates soon. Once I get them I will announce it on my web site and in my newsletter.

But I do think that all rumors should be taken as true. laugh

I think your last statement answered my question.

If there is a price increase, I hope they hire more staff. There really is no excuse for rooms still not being made up at 4-5 pm, dining room staff working their tails off but not being able to keep up, etc. I don't see the staff just standing around or being slow, there just aren't enough of them to keep up!

I think that staffing will probably be beefed up IF the Hedo III people decide that they will come to Hedo II- which is not a given. No doubt some will, but many will not like to leave the more modern facilities for a 30+ year old hotel that is dated. If the Hedo III people do not come over, but opt for Desire or Hidden Beach you might not see a staff increase, but you may not also see any price increase.

Just an addendum to the price increase discussion. I think that Hedo II is a bargain. I'll be staying at the Hyatt Regency on the ocean in Huntington Beach, California. My nightly rate will be $255 which includes a bed, a dresser and a desk, with some chairs and a TV. At Hedo I have a decent room, all my meals, all my drinks, all the activities and all the friendly people for a WHOLE lot less money.

Or you can go to Vegas where (thanks to subsidies from gambling) you can have a nice room at say, the Flamingo for less than a hundred a night.
But I'd still prefer Hedo. smile

On the other hand, a price increase may chase away the younger crowd - the very people management are trying to attract. That will hurt business and in the end, less money will come in.

All in all, I'd rather be a hippy.

I wonder..if they raise the price of Hedo II,after Hedo III closes. Would that drive more people to Desire??

Desire is fairly expensive. The price would have to really go up at H2 for us to make that move.

Thus far the price at Desire when we have priced it was substantially more expensive that Hedo II for us. I know some here have said that the price they get is similar to Hedo but we have not found it even all that close in our market.
I will say that if Hedo's price goes up enough to close that gap some we will try Desire. We will even pay a little more to experience as new place (we like that) so Hedo's prices won't have to go up all the way to Desire's prices to see us visit Hedo less often and try other places.

I just received the 2011 pricing. The date ranges of 2011 pricing don't match the date ranges for 2010 pricing. But taking February-April 2011 base rates and comparing them to the same period in 2010 they are exactly the same. There is an early booking sale for 2011 that reduces those rates by 20%.

All I know is that we have received our 2011 rates for the Zoo Krew for the 1st week of May 2011. Out of respect to Denny we won't post the actual rates. I will say though that our prude side rates actually went down for next year. Our nude side rates went up by less than $5.00.

Annual Zoo Krew Trip the first full week of May each year. If anyone is going then, please feel free to drop us an email.
