Being a Hedo virgin (but not for long) when do you find time to sleep or put time in at the gym?

Re Gym - You will be laughing so hard and having so much fun that you will forget about the gym and you will develop abs anyway from the laughing.

Re Sleep - that is what beach chairs are for...and the extremely high octane coffee at breakfast will rev you up so much you won't realize you didn't sleep much. Oh, and it's what you do when you go back to your room in the afternoon...AFTER you take a "nap" of course.

We've always found the time to meet Jim's at Hedo.

Sleep is highly overrated at Hedo. smile

Funny replies all, but this does bring up a problem.

When *do* you sleep at Hedo??

I find that about 9PM, after dinner and the beginning of the show, I can hardly stay awake. Give me a full belly, a drink or two, a hard day of being nekkid on the nude beach, and I'm pretty much done.

Finding time in the afternoon for an hours power nap is golden, but then I find I miss too much of the fun.

Hedo is one of the few vacations that I have to come home a couple of days early, before going back to work, so I can recover doing absolutely nothing.

Can't speak about the gym as we never went there. We did walk the beach several times a day for exercise.

Our nightly routine - dinner, entertainment, shoot pool, feed the fish, go to the disco, go to the hotub, and finally hit the bed [and a little horizontal bopping] around 2am or sometimes 3am.

Then we would sleep until 8am.

Seemed to work for us.

An occasional nap on the beach chair also helped.

Seriously, we hit the sack usually around 2 or 3. I (generally!) get out of bed at around 7/7:30 & hit the beach. I wake up Chris later depending on which dive he is doing & we get a little breakfast & then he's off to dive & I'm back to the beach. I get a lot more sleep at home than at Hedo and I get up earlier at Hedo than at home. smile

We don't use the gym/Jim.

Haven't been to the gym, although we did walk by it smile as far as sleep goes, I'm the type of person that can't nap. Afraid I'm going to miss something I think, LOL. So I usually sleep in. I rarely get to breakfast but Carl is up and brings me my breakfast in bed. We party late and sleep late, I get up around 11 or 11:30 We usually go for no less than 2 weeks so you have to get some sleep (well, I do anyway)if you want to function and not look like death warmed over.

Definitely if you're going for 2 weeks at a time you need to pace yourselves!! If we're going for that long, we tend to start sleeping in more & going to bed earlier after the first week to 10 days. We're also fortunate that we often tack on a few days to a week after Hedo at a cliffs hotel, then we can detox & rest there (though sometimes we retox!). smile

We go to bed between midnight and 4AM, depending on what's happening that evening. My wife goes to the gym every morning and I usually take water aerobics in the nude pool or swim laps in the main pool. I'm too old to stay up late w/o a power nap before dinner.

We'll usually try to get an hour or so nap after happy hour & before dinner, and get up to the dinning room 8:30ish. Fortunately, with all our November friends, somebody's got a table with two open seats.

We find too, that our ETA to the Jetty gets later & later each morning as the trip goes on. Goal is 10am, but usually ends up noon(ish) by day four!

One of our "rules" for Hedo is accepting the fact that we can't be all places at the same time. There is a tendency to wanna stay up 24/7 so you don't miss out on the hot tub fun, the disco, naked beach games, private parties, etc., etc. We power nap before dinner being late-night people. We accept the fact that we can leave the hot tub at 4 a.m., only to learn later to our great regret that day that at 4:20 a.m., this wild orgy broke out at the hot tub we just left. So along as we make breakfast, we can make it through the day!

We take a nap between 6 pm and 8 pm. This gives us time to shower and dress and be down for dinner around 9 pm. The weeks that it is crowded the dinning room has started to thin out about this time and its easy to find a table.

You'll find time to work out in the morning.
Napping,when needed. (oh yea and)
Pacing up and down the beach is great for the calves.

I would strongly suggest you start your day at the gym !
Drinks and dehydratation for the sun are not a good match with gym performances. eek

Also, the gym is colder in the morning and they`ll have small gym towels left (it's not always the case later)

Enjoy !

Went on a 3 day trip that I hardly slept a wink. Our friends said we did a two week trip in 3 days. Sleep came on it's own . If this trip didn't kill me,the thought of going to the gym would have.... from laughter. I was in the gym just once my first trip. Daniel is great! I prefer to do things I don't do on a regular basis when I am on vacation. Drink lot's of water.DeeD

I try to hit the gym every day. I've found that this schedule works for me:

1. Breakfast.
2. check email (I'm theoretically at work when I'm at Hedo so the least I can do is read and reply to emails) while digesting breakfast.
3. Half an hour on the stationary bike.
4. To the beach!!

This still gets me to the beach by 11 am, which is plenty early enough to get in a full day of fun.

I usually go to the gym in late afternoons back home,(my real residence)But at Hedo I found going in the morning really nice, pretty much empty at that time.I felt it was a great way to start the day as there was no way I was to leave the after I started drinking.

I usually follow this schedule- at least for the first 3-4 days, anyway. (approximately). It also helps that I am often the guest aerobics instructor when I travel!

7 or 7:30 am- Wake up, go to the gym (this time seems to get later as the week progresses)
8:30am finish workout, go shower & dress
9am- Breakfast
9:45-10:45 Nap
11:00- Beach time (including water aerobics)
11:30- 3:00 Fun on the nude side
3:00 Lunch at the grill, go back to the room to nap
4:00 check the gym to see if I have a class to teach
5:00 Back to the nude side to see what's going on, maybe eat a little jerk chicken
6:00 or 6:30- Back to the room for "relaxation"
8:00 or 8:30- Dinner & showtime
10:00 Hang out with friends
11:00- Hit the disco
2:00 See what's going on at the hot tub
Bedtime anytime after that!

Even still, I always feel like I need a vacation from my Hedo vacation and have to "recover" for a few days after I return. Regardless of how much I work out (I usually exercise 5-6 days a week, whether I'm at Hedo or at home), I still gain 5-10 pounds while at Hedo- saltier foods (and more food), alcohol, and not enough water will do that to you!

There is obviously a major problem here. You forgot the two hours daily having sex. I think I know why you gain weight at Hedo!! You're eating the wrong stuff!
