Hi my husband and I want to go to Hedo iii mid Feb. We just want to get lots of sun and meet lots of nice people. we would love the opportunity to be able to tan in the buff. We are not prudes, are not afraid of what we might see. However we are a couple totally not into any outside sexual activity. We do not have a problem with what other people are doing. We are nervous and we want to know if we are worrying about nothing? We heard the people are great there.

We have been there twice and are a lifestyle couple. With that said, we never connected with anyone other than each other. We saw PDA's, initially you cannot help but look, but as the week progressed, they blend into the background. And remember, you might be asked and a simple "no thanks" is all you need to say. Put your worries to rest (except for the busride to the resort) and have a great week.

There is something for every at Hedo. No means No and most people can tell if you are in the lifestyle (hate that word) or not. You will see alot around you, so if that offends you, then I would stear clear of the nude pool. The quad pool is a little less in your face. But go have a great time and enjoy each other.

Thanks for the replies, we are very excited about going and would hate to let our fears get in the way. we have pretty much decided that we are worrying about nothing but it sure helps to get input from others who have been there.
Thanks again

LOL... the bus ride is part of the "experience". If you're on a "real" bus (as oppsed to a big van), it's always fun to guess who else on the bus is going to Hedo, and which are the poor schmucks going to Breezes. :-)

I don't know if Jamaica is considered "3rd world", but you really do get to see the huge disparity between the US and the beautiful country of Jamaica on the ride to Hedo.

Worst case scenario... is about an hour and a half ride, including the "beer stop" on the way.

Have fun!

Most of the time the bus ride is the beginning of the party.

The Bus ride can be "exciting". Especially to those that are not used to it. Some people have trouble adjusting to being on the left side of the road. Also, most Jamaicans tend to view the lanes (if they are marked) as just suggestions to be ignored if it gets you there faster. Plus there are goats and people walking right next to or even on the road. They also get much closer to things than many are compfortable. So, for some the bus is an extreeme thrill ride of "possible disaster".

I enjoyed my first bus trip. I thought it was exciting. Now I don't find it as "thrilling". The road changes have taken the traffic out of some towns (less pedestrians) and while the roads aren't finished to Ochi... they are alot better than they were.

The bus ride is great! It's an adventure in itself...and make sure to buy a few redstripes for the road cause it gets hot on the bus...each time we've taken the bus it's been nothing but laughs and thanking the lord when we arrived safely and in one piece..haha..glad they don't drive like that here in sc!! enjoy:) you'll have a blast...

Our virgin trip was mid Jan, and we are not lifestylers either. Although we had plenty of opportunity, oince we said we were not lifestylers, were were never solicited. However, we hung around everyone and had an absolute blast!

Go, have fun,and enjoy life

Hey Caribbean Buffs!! Welcome to the boards!

Here is a trip report I wrote quite some time ago dealing with first timer jitters. It's at least good for a laugh or two.

Ok I don't know if this link is going to work, I've never done this type of thing before... But then again before I went to hedo there were lot's of things I had never done before...LOL

As far as the bus ride goes... Yeah it's scary... but it just makes you appreciate life that much more when you arrive in one piece. wink

Caribbean Buffs.....don't be surprised if you're approached and the topic of 'getting together' with another couple comes up...but a simple "were flattered but this trip is all about 'us' being together" or 'were flattered but we don't play with anyone but each other' or anything like that...basically just being very honest right up front always works best...and you have a 99.99% chance that anyone you have to say this to, will totally respect where you're coming from and there will be no hard feelings or pressure to change your minds...So don't go there with any worries, especially not this one...Have fun!!

One last thing.... do yourself a favor and DO NOT drink too much on the ride over to H3... It is 90 minutes, very bumpy, and you will have to pee like all hell, which is not fun! (there is a stop and breezes where you can hit 'the room, but before that you're s.o.l.!).
