So I got a Mona Lisa Hedo print off eBay recently, they said they got it at Hedo around 1993. Did they used to sell those posters/prints at the gift shop there?

It's in good condition, and I'm having it framed.

Great to hear you got it! Will be interested to see what other older-timers say. I don't recall them selling those when we started going in 2000. Maybe Denny knows!

I got a Mona Lisa T-shirt from the gift shop around 2005. I just checked and there are three for sale on ebay.

I don’t really remember the posters, but I have one of the tee shirts from sometime in the 80s or early 90s.

I don't recall when H2 started using the Mona Lisa image.

I could be wrong, but I think I remember it in 1983 on my first visit.

T-shirts are one thing, but these old prints - how did people get them???

It's like 24 x 16, and having it framed. I'm just so curious on how this person got it in the early 90's.

Saw the first Mona Lisa T in the gift shop around 1995. That doesn't mean they were not for sale earlier...just means I don't remember.

I also have one of the T-shirts; I thought I got it in the Hedo gift shop back in the early 90's but I could be wrong. I only wear it when I'm at Hedo and even then only when I'm at The Repeater Party. Good conversation starter.

You are correct, LyleM, the Mona Lisa print was hanging in the lobby during my first trip to Hedo in '83.

It was the first inkling that this place was something else.

At one point in Richard Bourke's time as GM, it was in his office.

I have a T shirt with it on it but I don't remember when I got it. And I never saw it as a poster in the gift shop, but I wasn't always looking there.

Respect.

I hate it when you guys send me down a rabbit hole! I can't remember the posters ever being for sale. . . it's possible there were some printed for promotional purposes and handed out when someone felt the urge. T-shirt, check. Then in my search I found this little gem - I think it was a gift from Cheryl Moore: [Just remembered I can't insert a picture here ] it's a salad plate sized ceramic plate with the Mona Lisa on it. I'm guessing it's a late '80's vintage.

I agree, Lyle! The Naughty MonaLisa was from the 1980s...I remember it from 1985, but can't remember the place I saw it...framed at the hotel? (could be a false memory...)

I vaguely remember this on display somewhere - was it the infamous Art Auctions?

All in all, I'd rather be a hippy.

I believe I've fairly recently seen it hanging on an archway in or near the lobby the last few years.

It’s in the main lobby, above the entrance to the dining room. It’s been there since they did major remodeling in 2016.

And the light in the lobby is making it fade away...sigh!

Here's a picture I snapped of the one hanging in the lobby; it was taken January 2020 at the end of my New Year's Eve trip that year. If it is in fact fading, then it probably looks even worse than this by now.

If there's anyway to get another poster off EBay (or anywhere else), a replacement poster would be greatly appreciated.

Respect.

I got it framed this week, and here it is. Great color for an early 90's print. I also got the other poster hanging to the left of the Hedo Lobby Mona Lisa off eBay and donated it to Hedo. I'm not sure if they'd want this print as it's much smaller. And frankly, not sure I want to donate this one. :-)

I *might* buy a poster, but I think they should expand to other merch -- e.g., bring back the Mona Lisa T-shirts and maybe add muscle shirts/tank tops, coffee mugs with that logo, baseball caps with the logo, etc.
