We are there last week, on Tuesday (2/28/23) we were at nude pool, wife was dancing up on the tub that creates waterfall over bar pool. Other women joining her, dancing naked, entertaining the massive, touching and having a great time. Now my wife had only had one mimosa with breakfast, did beach then lunch...we headed to nude pool totally sober at 2. We drink a ton of water as well so those were not any issue. While dancing people were going to bar bringing girls shots. My wife did half of one shot ( 3 PM) , then another (different) half shot 45 min later, and 15 min after second one, she sat and said she felt confused, dazed, and slowed was out of it. FYI her and one other girl had same symptoms within 10 min of each other. My Wife's GF was with us and treats women who have been date date drugged like this and said it was a classic case. So some ass either thought it was funny, thought she was singe etc. she was still having some of the issues through today (Monday) including some short term memory loss. She is better, almost back to normal 6 days later but no fun. We lost two days of an expensive vacation.

So she was pissed she did the two shots but felt safe there (Hedo says it is safe for single women) well not so much, and she learned a lesson not to take a drink from anyone, even if it seems safe! But wanted to warn others going. Will we be back, hell yes! We loved it there...Do we blame Hedo, NO! Someone was being an ass, lucky I did not find out who it was! So she felt a warning was in order so others would not make her same mistake.... Letting you know for what it is worth smile

It's not just women that are at risk.

I was at Hedo quite a few years ago when someone was handing out shots dosed with something and several people experienced the same thing you reported happened to your wife, both men and women.

You're right, Hedo can't control this. If you do determine who did this, report it to Hedo management and Security immediately. I haven't checked Jamaican law, but this is probably a crime. At the least, Hedo can eject them from the resort if you report it if they can confirm what happened.

RopeRaide...so very sorry that you two experienced this horrible act. Back in 1998, my wife and I both were affected by such an act. Uncalled for and very dangerous to say the least. No Hedo can not control this...it is just plain evil of some people.

In 2010 ? my husband was roofied at the nude pool ....some idiot likely thought (s)he was enhancing our good time on our last night at Hedo ......
It was scary, he went from reasonably sober to all of a sudden his vision was wonky, he was confused and he needed my help to get back to the room to sleep at 5:30 pm. Not fun at all.

Happen to me few years ago, I think mine happen when I went to the restroom and left my mug by the sink and within 10 minutes I passed out and my wife had to have help getting me back to the room and it was about 3 hours before I woke up. It was early afternoon and only had 2 drinks before that happened. Since then, I take my mug with me to the urinal and it's always in my sight.

Don't leave your drink unattended.

Don't accept shots or other drinks from anyone you don't know.

Even if you happened to see the bartender make the shots, if someone you don't know handled the drink before it got to you, don't drink it.

Just a few suggestions to help folks stay safe...........

LyleM...in our case...the individual who dropped the roofies in our drinks...was supposedly a very good friend. He related two days later that he was responsible. Needless to say, we've never seen him again.

Thanks for sharing. That situation is really hard to protect against. That kind of action by someone you think you can trust is really dangerous. The situation I was relating was a bunch of people doing shots in the pool. There were people in the mix that didn't know each other and a couple of them were the ones that dosed the drinks, but nobody could prove that later. I generally want to watch the bartender make the drink and hand it to me after that.

That’s terrible! I have in the past taken a gummy bear shots that was on a tray going around the pool and thankfully no roofie! No reason for this to happen ….why roofie your at hedo chances are you can get lucky without nearly killing somebody by over dosing them!!!
Good to know this happens though ,I would never have thought this to be a concern there ,been going since 2003 !!!
