Constructed primarily for VIPs departing from Gates 1 through 7 at the Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay, Jamaica. Spanning over 4,000 sq. ft., the spacious and bright VIP lounge will host approximately 100 visitors upon their departing paradise. The exceedingly cultural addition will be characterized by high-pitched ceilings, encased by glass walls to allow a view of the runway and lush vegetation that surrounds the airport, chic furnished light-wood finishes- designed for solitude, relaxation, and tranquillity.

If I remember correctly (and I'm sure someone will straighten me out quickly if I'm wrong), the original Club MoBay Lounge was located near Gate 12. So, is that one closing or is this one in addition to that so they can accommodate more guests?

This is a new lounge meant to service the departure gates at the other end of the airport. The existing two lounges near gate 12 (upstairs and downstairs) are not affected.

Thanks for clarifying. On my recent return trip home, I did notice a significant amount of construction going on once I cleared security, but never bothered to ask anyone what that was all about. Now, I'm guessing it had to do with the new lounge area rather than just general airport work.

The new lounge is not open yet. Of course we depart from gate 2 lol.
