I'm not sure if Denny moved my post. Leaving for Negril this week. NY state requires that you get a Covid test 3 days before arriving back to the state. Can someone tell me where i can get tested in Negril... I googled everything i could think of and couldn't find anything. If it's not possible what will NY do on arrival. I am more nervous of this then going to Jamaica. Thank for your help

Hedo has on-site medical folks, and perhaps they can do tests on-demand (with a fee I'm sure). If not, they clearly have arrangements with local healthcare folks to administer tests when needed. I'd contact Hedo directly to ask what options are available. I'm sure Lorna Brammer can answer, if the general Hedo contact info person can't.

Hedo Rob, you are going to come back and go through Immigrations and Customs. You are then free to go home. I don't think anyone from the state government is going to be standing around checking to see if you are a New York resident and have a covid test. In DC you are supposed to quarantine if you come back from certain hot spot states, but there is no enforcement. I'm pretty sure NY is the same. Your employer may have quarantine requirements, but that is something different.

New York has National Guard at the airport meeting arriving passengers to confirm they have had a negative COVID test.

I just read that. If you have a negative test you are still supposed to quarantine for 3 days. 14 days if you have no test. They are not stopping you from coming into the state. There is no mention of how they will enforce the quarantine. They may have your name and contact information, but what are they going to do? I'm not saying it is not a good idea, but I don't think they are going to send the police to track you down and make sure you quarantine and get tested.
