For all those who have bookings for arrival through August 31, 2020, Hedonism II will provide complimentary Cancel For Any Reason waivers. The policy has been amended in consideration of the Coronavirus: “You will be allowed to cancel or change your hotel arrangements for any reason up to the day of arrival on the island. This Cancellation Waiver does NOT cover flights, lost baggage, trip interruption or any optional activities such as sightseeing, spa/salon services, wedding license processing fees and extras. The Cancellation Waiver only covers the cost of your hotel stay. This Cancellation Waiver Benefit is provided by Hedonism II and is not an insurance benefit. IMPORTANT: THE CANCELLATION WAIVER DOES NOT OFFER A CASH REFUND BUT ALLOWS YOU TO CHANGE DATES WITHOUT PENALTY. THE VALUE OF YOUR HOTEL PORTION WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO A FUTURE DATE UP TO DECEMBER 20, 2021. IT IS UP TO EACH INDIVIDUAL TO CONTACT YOUR AIRLINE TO DETERMINE THE BEST COURSE OF ACTION.

As a show of good faith and without prejudice, Hedonism II will also offer a $200 Resort Credit to those who rebook for a future stay.

Do you have to book your future stay directly from Hedo or can you use any travel agent? Hedo prices are sometimes WAY higher than group rate prices or sometimes Hedo shows the resort as sold out because groups have all the hotel rooms blocked out for their groups.

Can the $200 resort credit be used toward the purchase of another night at Hedo or just for onsite purchases?

The $200 is a resort credit - not a room credit. It can only be used for incidentals purchased from the resort during your stay.

If you booked directly with the resort, my guess is that they will not allow that to be transferred to an outside agency. But I am always willing to try anything for my clients. The resort does sometimes make exceptions for me.

Other hotels set to close soon include Round Hill Hotel and Villas, Half Moon, Breathless, Secrets Wild Orchid, Zoetry, Sunset at the Palms, Hedonism II, Melia Braco, and Sandals Negril.

The Royalton in Negril has closed. It's not like a visit to any of these would have been any fun right now, anyway.

the owner should take this time to scrub down the piano bar. last few years that place has a rather rancid smell in it, almost mold like.

I've heard some cleaning operations are being done while the resort is closed. I don't have any additional details, but it's a good time to do that if it can be done safely, is allowed by local authorities, and can be done safely without exposing staff to additional risk, plus it helps keep people employed.
