As of 10 minutes before this posting, the complimentary Club MoBay service offered to those booking the Premium Hot Tub rooms is no longer being offered. Anyone with a confirmed reservation as of the date & time of the announcement is protected.

WOW! I take it that Hedo couldn't guarantee it because it's a separate biz that has a sked that fills up too fast, or are they just saving money for themselves?

Saving $80 on a 7-night reservation on a high-end room doesn't amount to much.

I can agree that Club MoBay is filling up a lot lately. I receive emails from them when dates are closed for new bookings. It is happening a lot. I expect that Club MoBay's rates will soon increase because of the demand.

My experience in November - I tried to book a few days ahead from the resort and was told they were filled (Sunday afternoon).
When I got there though, they let me in. It was a bit crowded at first, but cleared out by 3:00

I've found that the arrival service is normally the part that is shut down first. They have a limited number of greeters to meet the planes and their arrival lounge is small. On departure, if the main lounge fills up, they open the lower one.

My trip was in late December and I booked arrival & departure service for Club Mobay well in advance (end of July) and was immediately confirmed. However, I mainly just booked the arrival service to expedite the bureaucracy of the lines for immigration/customs; since I had a car waiting at the airport for pick-up, I told the greeter I was going to go straight to the outdoor waiting area and skip the lounge. On departure, I was directed to use the lounge on the lower-level, presumably because the main lounge was full, as Denny noted. I didn't mind this because the main lounge usually has a number of families (i.e., loud little kids running around and screaming), and the lower level did not, at least not on the Friday afternoon when I was there. I got there around 4PM and when I left around an hour or so later, it was really starting to clear out.

My experience of the Club MoBay departure lounge is that the upper level is (was) for adults only and the lower level (where the kids play room is (was) located, too) was for all ages. I prefer the upper level as I like watching the landings and take offs of the planes.

Maybe I'm mixing up the lower level vs. upper level. Typically, I have to get into the elevator to go to the lounge, but I don't remember if you have to take the elevator up or down. In any event, the one I used in the past had quite a few kids. On this trip, I didn't have to take the elevator -- just walked straight across and there was a lounge just past the elevator. I'd never been in that one before. That one had no kids and it was rather quiet.

The lounge you entered by just walking past the elevator is what I term the "upper level" and it is just for adults. Food is better downstairs, though. And the free phone for international calls is located by the downstairs desk.
