Hi all,

My Christmas travel plans fell through and on a whim I started to consider a trip to Hedo II. I’m well versed in the lifestyle but I’m no longer part of a couple. Will I be well received as a single male? I’m not going with any expectations but also don’t want to be looked down on for being there alone. Looking forward to the thought of letting go for a few days and hanging out in my birthday suit. Im 36 and assume most people my age will be at home with family during Xmas so I may be one of the younger people there.

All advice is appreciated

I would recommend you go! Polite, fun and sincere single men are always welcome. Have fun, talk to people, offer to get a drink for your new friends if you're going to the bar. The tone of your post tells me that you will know how to interact with people and will be fast friends with many.

Oh, btw-DennyP, who runs this board is a great travel agent!

It's the same advice we give to all the single guys (myself included). Be respectful and open, laid back, and you can find fun.

All in all, I'd rather be a hippy.

The most seamless way I've seen single guys blend in is for them to be helpful. Guys who say, "hey I'm going to the bar, do you need anything?" " hey, let me grab you a towel" be kind and respectful. You know, just act like a Canadian. . . breaks the ice, let's everyone's guard down

I am going as a solo male at Christmas. I arrive on Christmas day (Wednesday) and return on Sunday (29th). I am looking forward to meeting and making new friends along the way while there. Leather and Toga, etc all ready to go

Thanks for the advice. I’m looking to go from Xmas eve through Saturday. Planning on going somewhere else front Saturday to Saturday. Hoping I can make this happen

I agree with all the above and add that the massive crowds traditionally arrive the day after xmas.

I go for New Year's Eve and typically arrive day after Christmas (as will be the case this year). While there are quite a few arrivals on the 26th, an even bigger crowd usually comes in the 27th.
