As of October 1, 2019 the Ocean View Nude Upgrade rooms are no longer available to book. Those 4 rooms were converted to Ocean View Nude Premium Jacuzzi (lower floor) and Ocean View Nude Premium (upper floor).

Those currently booked in the OVNU category will automatically be upgraded to one of the other 2 categories upon check-in at no additional charge.

This is causing considerable angst for at least one person I know... evidently the fact that some guests like an OVN room with beach access and no Jacuzzi didn't enter into the priority discussions. Not happy - and I doubt I'll be the only one.

If ocean view nude is already a top tier - what exactly would you be upgraded too?

PP - the "upgrade" just meant that the room had the interior premium room design, beach access via a sliding door but no hot tub. So it was priced a little below the hot tub rooms. For some of us who don't crave a private hot tub but do enjoy using and entertaining on the deck, the presence of the hot tub makes the deck basically unusable.

The modified lowel lever rooms still are Premium OVN rooms with beach access and no Jacuzzi. They now have a patio for outside seating that many smokers will appreciate. The original OVNU rooms were not big sellers. There were only 4 of them (2-up, 2-down)

Ocean View Nude is a middle tier room with regards to price. It is the 4th cheapest out of 11 current categories. The standard Ocean View Nude rooms are not Premium rooms which are have a higher price. The OVNU rooms were upgraded to OVN Premium and OVN Premium Jacuzzi.

I've had many clients mention that they like the deck without the hot tub as a socializing and smoking location. So it is not "unusable" to them.

I am just thankful the Prude Gardenview category still exists....and our friends have welcomed us to their Oceanview Nude Premium outdoor decks And hot tubs !!! Easier to get everyone in the hot tub when there isn't seating for more than 2 people on the decks with hot tubs. However, the patio set for more than 2 'smokers' sounds like a nice compromise.

Help me out a bit. I'm not that versed with all 11 room categories. Are the recent changed rooms 2166, 2266, 2169 and 2269?

I just want to confirm that none of the rooms in the last building next to the nude pool with rooms 2176,2177,2178,2179 and 2180 have been changed.

Yes, those are the ones. There is a list on my web site of all the Premium rooms and their room numbers. The link to that list is on my main Hedonism II resort page. I haven't yet updated the reassigned OVNU rooms on that page - it's on my to do list.

I have been in room 2180 and can't see where there would possibly be room for a deck and hot tub, literally would be room sliding doors to the deck and then beach chairs around the pool. Would those chairs be reserved for that room?

I haven't seen the finished product myself. I am only reporting what the resort told me. Perhaps a current visitor can fill us in.

2176 through 2180 and the upper floor aren’t being modified as far as I know and I heard nothing about that during my recent visit.

All the premium rooms down toward the dive shack were being renovated.

It's my understanding that rooms 21(22)66- 21(22)75 are the ones being updated / upgraded. From a reliable source at the hotel.

From the pics it looks like they're doing 21(22)26 thru 2130 too. More than I originally thought.

Hmmm, going into the high season soon. Any idea when these will be done?

The plan was Oct 1. I haven't heard an update but am checking.

The official word from the Hedonism Facebook page is that all the work is done. The guests say otherwise.

Why would the resort say that if it wasn't true?

It might depend on the definition of "work". One project might be done, but a separate project might still be going on.
