Has the rumored change taken place replacing bottled water stations to filling stations? I also heard rumor that they would issue refillable water glasses at check in. True?

My wife and I were there from 8/10-20 and all the water bottle stations were still in service. We did not see any "water stations".

The water bottles were there the week of December 7-14th.

The one water station that was located by the gift shop was gone a week ago. They did change brands of bottled water. FWIW.
The station referred to above was one of the water filter stations, not the cooler of bottles that is still there.

I remember a water bottle ice box was on the main deck, one was half way along the nude beach, and for a little while at the nude drinks machine (until the Bees carried it off...)
All in all, I'd rather be a hippy.

There is cooler filled with bottled water on the prude (rarely) beach too. The staff are really good at keeping the cooler/ice boxes filled.

We just got back this week, there was a cooler of water on the nude beach over by the tree, there was another just up the beach across from where the massage hut used to be, there was one on the prude beach, and one just outside the gift shop, at the courtyard, in front of the restrooms. There may be others that we either didn't see or use. We found that water was nearly always cold and always available.

People have been leaving the plastics bottles on the swim platform, the table in the water and on the beach. I’ve been picking them up out of the water. Bad situation.
Meanwhile, the plastic forks at the grill have been replaced with completely useless wood forks.

Wooden forks? They were still using plastic in November - I guess they just now ran out.

...And then we hear on the news that another Amazon forest has been knocked down to make way for a fork plantation...

In the past, there have been containers for empty plastic bottles. But since some simply don't seem to care you can find some bottles not properly disposed of. I'm inclined to think that the ones most likely to complain about "trash" on the beach are the ones that don't pick up for themselves. We take our own refillable insulated jugs so we aren't generating empty plastic bottles. Just my opinion.

I picked up a LOT of plastic bottles, cups, paper straws, etc off the beach and out of the water this trip.
When people leave that stuff out on the platform and in the water, I wonder who they think is supposed to clean up after them?
