We get to stay in a Premium Terrace room next month for the first time with WWW, are excited, and wonder if there is an electrical outlet outside of the sliding glass doors? In past stays, in regular rooms, we like to put lights in the windows or on the door, to mark our room, and share seasonal messages, and colors. Now having ocean view, we hope to do the same. We have seen guests put up lights on their deck, but do we bring an extension cord for power from the inside? We are also considering small battery powered lights. Thank you for replies.

Just in case your room does not have an outside outlet (I don't remember), you can get a special flat extension cord that is made to be used on a closed door/window.

All in all, I'd rather be a hippy.

There are 3-prong duplex electrical outlets right outside the door. We have stayed in 2nd floor premium ocean view rooms with the balcony on our last three trips. I have photographic evidence if you would like to see!

Do you have to request the extension cord or do they keep them somewhere in the room?

There are no extension cords in the rooms.

Have you ever been in any hotel room that has supplied an extension cord? Just curious.

I've been to hotels that provided me an extension cord upon request. But I wouldn't expect that Hedonism II would have one to provide. Bring your own.

Most people who bring outside lights bring their own extension cords; some will also bring an adapter for the outside light (on rooms with hot tubs or terraces) that converts the light socket to a socket with outlets for the extension cord(s). The hotel can provide an extension cord -but they'll often actually make one from thick wire with a wall socket type termination. Image a wall socket on a 30' thick wire.... bring your own wink

Don't forget those other essentials: Duct tape, string, cutters, small tool set, disco light-bulb, a 24x24 sheet cardboard to blackout the bathroom window, 9 volt battery to put in the clock radio, black marker (if you bring a raft), and perhaps a small can of lysol in case the AC is a bit musty (although the staff is much better at cleaning them out now).

All in all, I'd rather be a hippy.

Brown paper grocery bag also works well for blocking out bathroom window light! (easy to cut to size) Bring blue painters tape.

No silly, for your umbrella drinks! Keeps the rain out so they don't get diluted. grin

I enjoy the education here on this forum, thank you alllll. My mind spinning now... duck tape? getting kinky now, hehe. One year we had an umbrella (a real one) in the room, they seem to have disappeared. However the tiny wooden stick umbrella for the drinks to keep out the rain, great novel idea, though I've never minded the rain, a few drops anyway.

There is a list of suggested items to bring that is located on the Hedonism II resort page on this web site.

Thanks for the link, however I like the "things to bring" on threads like this. A while back, it was suggested to bring, as one couple did, their Sybian vibrator. Imagine airport security, and passport questions on that. That's probably why the need for the 30" thick extentsion cord with the multiplex box on the end, posted earlier, is needed. We will settle for the 5 volt USB charging cord type, for the suitcase space and weight.

Duct tape has come in handy Many times on my trips.
From patching holes in a suitcase, holding my flip flops together, keeping curtains closed, plugging an ant hole, holding up a flag, and the best so far: rigging a contraption to get back into my room after the resorts key card system had failed.
It truly is magic stuff.

Just be careful with those strings of electric lights if you have a hot tub room... We don't want you to recreate the swinger-electrocution scene in Eating Raoul. laugh

I love that the topic of the need for electrical plugs and outlets lead you to think of the 70's movie 'Eating Raoul' Chris !!!

That movie was funny enough to stick in my mind 30+ years. Might have to order it up to refresh on the mayhem. Same for A Polish Vampire in Burbank. Super fun B movies. smile
