In our continuing effort to provide comments and feedback to the new owners I have a question. How many of us actually use the ironing board in the room?
I admit I used them once in the past 25 years to iron something the day I married there…but that is it. I would have just as soon had someone else iron it for me but it was there. I consider that board a nuisance every time I’m going into the closet…clang, clang.
I have noticed a few people use it as an additional table in their room for storing/piling stuff.
Is the provided iron and ironing board a needed/wanted all inclusive perk?

My birthday suit is wrinkled enough to need ironing, but I prefer to let it hang dry.

We have used it a few times, but admit it tends to become an extension of the dresser-counter, draping towels & clothes from that day/night's fun.
Would still like to have it, just in case it is needed

We iron for New Years Eve as we have dress clothes....however, best use is to take some tin foil and grab some patties during the day (we have a fridge put in our room anyway) and use the iron to re-heat said patties for a late night snack!

They can keep the irons.
On a funny note, a few years ago we had a very rough wave situation after an overnight storm. The GM was at the beach surveying the usual debris clean-up.
That was the perfect time for me to run to my room, grab the ironing board and coming running down the beach yelling "SURF'S UP"...and ran out into the water. I managed a couple of small waves. Finally just set it up in the shallows and stood on it.
I hope someone took pictures. I'd love to see them.

I do. I like to take a few silk shirts and they always need an ironing after a trip in the suitcase.
All in all, I'd rather be a hippy.

I prefer using my wood, but I guess a good iron if I am in the rough or it is not long enough.

I use an iron and ironing board every day. No matter whether I am at home or on vacation.

NO. I don't iron at home. Ron loves his perfectly starched collars, and cuff. "Go buy one then, you want it ironed, fine, show up with a new camera that i can't play with until the ironing is done and we will talk."
I have yet to see an awesomer camera in Negril than what I have, so No, I will not iron on vacation.

Never used the iron or board (but rare is the day I iron at home either). Some folks stash it under their bed to avoid it. I think HedoBill did an "Iron Man" costume with either the board or the iron one year...

I always use the iron a couple of times during a vacation. Suitcases are hell on costumes, etc.

The first thing we do when we check in is to take the ironing board out of the closet and put it under the bead. Keeps it from flopping around when you open the closet. Never use the iron

Never thought of shoving the thing under the bed, will have to remember that little trick in October.

Chris has done the iron man costume a couple of times over years.....once there was a whole troupe of iron men for toga night......you do need to remember to pick up the iron when you stand up from the dining table...or ouch! Alas, no more iron men....
We also put the ironing board under the bed....better than getting attacked by it each time you open the closet.
We know a few folks who use their iron for actual ironing.

My sweet wife takes everything from the suitcase upon arrival, irons it, and hangs it up in the closet.

WE bring a small hand held steamer to take the wrinkles out of our clothing. We tried just hanging them in the shower with the hot water on but it didn't work as well as the steamer.
