It has been a while since I have been to HEDO and want to go back but have a walking issue. Is there some sort of shuttle service to help us old timers with walking problems get around the resort.

They have a wheelchair for occasional use (and even a person to push it if you ask), but most who use them bring their own. They will send a truck for you, but you might have to wait for it. No shuttle...sorry!

And hopefully the luggage truck will be operational when you are there.
It wasn't operational the last 2 times we visited, and needed it.

Respect.

Luggage truck was operational in December. They are happy to shuttle you but on their schedule.

A few years back, I recall walking from the nude pool to the main dining room one afternoon to see what they were offering for lunch on that particular day.

It was a typically hot day and the sun was beating down. After walking a short distance, the guy with the luggage truck pulled up alongside of me and offered to give me a ride.

Given my abundance of gray hair, I suppose he took pity on me, but I don't think I looked like I was particularly struggling. What with the heat, I appreciated the lift, but that said, I don't really have trouble walking.

That was the only time I ever got a lift in my many years of travelling to Hedo. Perhaps you just need to be in the right place at the right time (as is the case with many other things in life, I suppose).

On a 2016 trip we got to know a guest with MS who needed assistance and it seemed that perhaps he had hired help from a couple of the younger bellmen on property. They checked in on him daily to help with whatever he needed. This guest had a motorized mobility scooter (not sure where it came from) and guests would help him negotiate some of the tougher areas of the property.
