I am withdrawing from this forum. I want to thank each of you wonderful people who have really exercised my feeble mind. I have learned so much from all of you about travel, about Hedo in particular and about so many other things. I want to thank those that vehemently opposed my statements and viewpoints. How boring it would have been without your inputs. When one engages another who disagrees with them, they learn so much and one's point of view is enhanced. Thank you! My wife and I will not be returning to Hedo after over three decades of many, many visits. We were in our twenties when we first visited and I remember that we paid $39 per night for the two of us. One did have to pay for drinks. I am now 72 and my lovely wife is 69. As does Delroy, I hate to tell my age. If I half close my eyes, stand side ways holding my stomach in without breathing while looking in the mirror, I can imagine the ladies at the hot tub admiring me. We will certainly miss our friends on the staff at Hedo. We will try to stay in touch with them and I will certainly read Dennyp. Denny thanks for your wonderful tolerance and superb judgement as our host. You are a rare breed. Thank you. I have promised not to discuss the reasons for our decision to not to return to Hedo. And I certainly would not want to engage in the defense of our decision. There are so many of you that I will always remember HedoDiveMaster, Roy in NC, Chris Santilli, Liz, Bunz z, Chicago Jake so many and even you Lyle. Save a likkle mon.

I am more than flattered to be among that group, and even more so placed there by you T-38! Come by Couples Negril sometime and Nancy and I will 'buy' you a drink at the nude bar there!
All the very best, and thanks so much for the knowledge you have shared with all of us!
Respect and good travels-
Roy

T-38,

This is very sad that you're leaving this board. You've educated me (am I'm sure countless others) over the years.

I've sent you a PM, and I hope we meet again elsewhere.

Respect.

The more you look, the more you see.

It feels like this board is slowly 'ageing out' and we need some new blood. But how to do it?

Use any social media connections you have to spread the work. I get about a dozen new registrations a week. I think a lot of people aren't used to the "contrary" reply postings and think twice before posting. There are a lot of people just reading. They are more used to Twitter and Facebook (where I also have a presence) where there is not much "argument" on things they post.

All the best T-38, I've always wondered if you trained at Laughlin AFB, I served there back in the 70s. You will be missed sir, as I have always enjoyed your valuable posts and informative responses to others. Big ups!!!

Move to new sites... it happens, sites age out, people age out and they lose relevance.

While this site has been a good resource for information in the past, it has been eclipsed by many others including facebook.

We dont come here very often as there has been little new here in a long time.

And what's even worse, the fifth highest poster here in the past 30 days at present, sarazinsindelle, is a SPAMMER!

Well I still come here every day. I don't contribute much these days, since I haven't been back to Hedo since 2011, but I still need my daily DennyP fix!

OH how sad. I will miss the information you share with us. I wish good health and safe travels wherever you shall roam.I always wonder if we have ever met at Hedo in the past.

Like Jake I don't post here much anymore but do check in from time to time. I don't have a twitter account and really don't see the reason to have one.
PS. If Denny has a FB page that offers comments from the viewers I don't know where it is. The only one I've seen is more of an advertising page.

Well this is sad and not what I wanted to read but I haven't been around these parts in awhile. I remember the glory days in the late 1990s and early 2000s when I was "on watch" here at all hours of the day and Hedo was a way of life.

We're getting old. Long live Hedo!!

Good luck. We haven't been around too much lately either. Last trip was 3 years ago. Our memories of the 50+ weeks spent at Hedo mostly on the 90's and early 2000's cannot be replaced. Fun times and looking back, would not change a thing. Great friends that we met, staff and just plain having fun with no worries.

When I look at how many $$$$ we spent there we should have bought shares...

We too, have moved on but we are often approached about coming back in January. Almost did this past January. Life has changed for us a bit, we retired, sold our house and moved onto our sailboat: sv "Hedonism"

Really. Currently in Grenada. Enjoy life wherever it takes you AND while you can!

P.S. We still get to be naked most times!
