SO, nice day here. Sudden 15 minute rain storm late afternoon, otherwise very sunny. Damn humid though...
Me and my friend "Candi" are stuck in room 1230 - dead last, next to Sandals, OVP. Still, it's not so far to walk. Wish the AC was stronger...

Resort is at a guess, half full. And quiet.
At 9:00pm the nude pool/tub side is Empty. Wow - guess this group is not into it.
Lots of good food waiting for the Fluffers to arrive this week. Can't wait for them to perk the place up a bit.

Thanks for the report. It's welcomed when someone take the time to post while they're there. Like the Baron, I admire your ability and willingness to get on the computer while you're there. I'd have a hard time with that. Have you run into any of those pesky chair savers yet. Looking forward to your next report.

Isn't the nude pool/hot tub closed from 7pm until 11pm? Imay have the exact times wrong, but at 9pm it would definitely be closed.

Last Dec I found it easy to sit at the table by the massage shack and use the lap top to do daily reports.

The nude pool/hot tub opens at 9pm and the nude pool/hot tub bar opens at 10pm.

Let's see, at 9:00pm the bar is closed. This might, just might, mind you, have something to do with why there are no people there at that time.

I think that the posting about the hot tub being empty was when it was closed for cleaning which occurs between 7pm and 9pm. This is the second cleaning for the hot tub of the day (vacuum the bottom and cleaning the tiles). Chemicals are rebalanced for the second time as well.

The nude bar (historically) closed at 6pm and reopened at 10pm (or was it 11pm?) and I recall it closed again at 4am.

I am not that much into the piano bar or disco, so if nothing else is going on, we will hit the hot tub about 9pm.

We load up the mugs in the main dining room with enough alcohol to last an hour and then head to the hot tub. Since it is typically empty or nearly so, we get our pick of the spots. I usually pick a spot with our backs facing the wall so people can't sneak up on us. Then just relax, chill out and enjoy being there.

Sounds like a great plan if you're not into the Piano Bar or the disco. As the punch line to an old Henny Youngman joke goes, "Everybody has to be somewhere".

Nice start to the day, thunder storms moved in at 2:00 and it's been dripping since. But the pools are nice so no problem staying in them. A few PDA's, so maybe it will be lively tonight.

Repeater party: Winning bid waw 38 trips, runner up was 12. Second time around (after winning before) was 15 trips. And there was a rafle for an extra 5 nights.

Most of the Intrusion group are gone by now, so I can't really comment. Some guests did mention that a few of them were loud and rude, but maybe that was just a few.

It's amazing how I still discover things after all this time. I swear I thought the TV room was that little alcove off the piano bar - and then today my friend opens the door to the Real TV room. How could I miss that?!? And it's so nice and cool and dark inside...

There seem to be a few mosquitoes out this trip. A side affect of all the rain I guess. The Blus Hole is very full, so I assume the drought is over.

Da Intrusion had a male strip show last night in the disco. Wow - I guess what they say about the Brothers is true... Now my friend is interested in black guys.

The tree frogs are very loud these nights. Must be the full moon. Some of you may need to bring ear plugs.

I never made it to the late night hot tub, instead I wore myself out on the water slide. *sigh*. Life is tough.


I think we will try the sunset cruise to Ricks today.

Where is the TV room and what is its purpose? I thought it was somewhere between the gift shop and the Piano bar. It seems like it was useful before they put TV in the rooms.

We use the TV room for major events, especially the US open (tennis) and a lot of folks gather there to watch it. Food from the buffet, drinks, friendly spirit. One year I was able to get some meals from Pastafari.

Group experience. Nice experience. Spacious.

...but where is the TV room? (For the geographically impaired of us out there!) Our first few trips I was just so pleased to be able to find my way back to our room!

"TV Room" is in between the gift shop and the jewelry store, behind the green door.

It's in the building with the restrooms outside the piano bar to the right as you exit. The building also has the tennis pro office.

The TV room faces the court yard by the Piano Bar, 90 degrees to the Piano Bar. It is to the rear of the tennis pro shop. The TV room, unfortunatly seems to be a favorite hangout for the resort staff. This can make it rather uncomfortable for guests. One does not feel comfortable asking to switch channels and at night the place can be a little creepy for couples. I have received dirty looks from staff by just opening the door to walk in. The resort management should make the room off limits to staff.

Maybe we should have classified the TV room as a 'hidden' goody like the hidden hot tubs and the waterfall.

...maybe its a good thing that its hidden. Rather than watching TV, maybe we could go rock climbing or ice skating.

I forgot to bring my rhinestone skating unitard...so no ice skating for me this past trip.

Without staff present, the TV room could be a nice air conditioned party room. I have heard that it can be very inviting on a hot humid August or September night. Very disappointing upon arrival to find two or three staff using it for a bunk room.

Missed the cat cruise today. It started to rain (an icy rain at that) so went for a nap instead. Of course the rest of the day was sunny and nice, but whatever.

The lobster saleman have been walking the beach with live lobster the last few days. At least the regular drug dealers are keeping off shore. poor critters.

Speaking of food, the dinning room has been good. Lots of fresh fruit and greens, a better selection than my trip last April. No trouble with people and tables yet, but the Fluffers start arriving on Friday.

There is a shortage of inflatables (i.e. none that I could see). And since a third of the float mats are missing from the chairs, I would recommend bringing something if Hedo gets crowded.

The hedo snorkel boat is still under rapair, but trips still going out at at 1:00 and 2:00
(Hmmm, perhaps that's why those mats are missing?).

The seaweed off the nude beach is hiding something that stings. One guy got stung twice, and I stepped on something flat that scurried away. Any guesses?

Not much hot water at the end near Sandals, but at least it's quiet

The pools are comfortable, the hot tub nicely warm, and right now there is a nice breaze.

When we were there in May there was a snake lurking in the seaweed near the float, could be he likes it there.

You probably stepped on an electric ray. It defends itself by delivering a good jolt. The same jolt is used to stun prey.

The electric ray does not have a stinger similar to the common grey ray.

They can't be referring to the old snorkel boat that sits down by Sandals up in the sand, there is no repairing that boat. I wonder what boat they're referring too?

Today started out hot and sunny with scatterd clouds. Around noon a storm front moved through and as I write this the rain is really dumping out side (and into the lobby), and boomers are shaking the silverware. God I love a good storm. Of course, there is nothing that will chase people out of the hot tub faster than an instant Flash and Boom. Agustus (sp?) was out giving folks plastic bags to keep stuff dry, but I think it's a lost cause. Oh, and Tim Air will fly in a thunderstorm. At least three flights came in between bangs.
This rain is heavy enough to make breathing difficult if you don't have a cap, and it's Cold. Glad I brought an umbrella.

On the plus side I've burned my shoulder. Again. (Happens every trip) so the clouds are a comfort.

I've also learned that playing tennis with a stomach full of bacon is not a good idea. A good thing that enough rum cures all.

Sand fleas have been at my ankles (even at dinner), so I'd suggest a little deet for the feet in the evenings.

Rickster, I agree: no repair possible. They still must be using the boat from Breezes.

PP: you say that the sand fleas are attacking you during dinner. Were you on the beach for dinner?

Sand fleas burrow into the sand during the heat of the day and come out when the temps turn cooler. They are definitely not on any sections with hardscape. If they are on hardscape, they are on steroids.

I can't even imagine flying on the Tim Air plane in a lightening and thunder storm! That plane is scary on a cloudless day. Then again, the bus us scary in a downpour too.

Saw Garfield in May, he is still there, Mega is now the 'assistant pro" and fills in when Garfield is off(Sundays) or on vacation etc.
