I was at an auction today, going through a box of books.Guess what I found? Yes! "The Naked Truth About Hedonism II" Plus it is signed by Chris Santilli. As I was going through various items at the auction I also found other items that were of the Bob Marley and Jamaican themded...In oorder for me to get the book I had to buy three boxes of various junk to get my book. Cost $2

You may have had to buy a couple boxes of junk but you also bought an entertaining read!! I am rereading mine now in preparation for our trip in May. Though I spent more than $2 and I didn't get the extra goodies that you did, I really enjoy my book, hope you do too!!

Our original edition has been through the ringer. Its been rad so much that it really wont come anywhere near closed properly. 2nd edition is a a bit better but has seen its owm heavy use.

We have been to H2 two times. I found parts of the book online and read what was there. It is a neat little book full of info for a new visitor. I had also found this site and read the trip reports and the message board.

I also won a book signed by Chris. I read it all the time. Each time I read it, it's as exciting as the first time I read it.

The Hedo2 book was last updated last summer and is available in print, kindle, and PDF formats. More than 8% of buyers have bought a second (or more) book to give to friends--thanks so much! The FAQ excerpt on my site (see below) is only a tiny part of the now 390-page book.

I still take my copy off the bookshelf every once in a while. I am honored to have met Chris a number of times and she included 2 of my photographs and a personal Hedo story.

I hope someday to be able to tell another story for her!

Chris--are some of the books color or just black and white? When I googled the book, I found some as high as $89 and as low as $29. Are they the same book?

Oh, gosh! Lots of old printings are out there. All older 2nd ed. copies have color pictures.

B/W print: The current July 2010 version is $29.95 + s/h as a new print book. It's 390 pages and all the pics are B/W this time instead of color. (see it at www.createspace.com/3468149 )

Color e-book: To see the current July 2010 version of the Hedo2 book in color, you'd need to see the PDF e-book ($14.99 on my website; printable). I'll likely be updating this PDF this summer again.

B/W e-book: I also have a March 2010 Kindle B/W e-book version available on Amazon ($14.99).

IMO--once you've read a 2nd ed. you don't need an updated version. If you've only read the skinny B/W 1st ed., the 2nd ed. will give you 3x the info/tales (in all its versions).

I (the Angie-half) downloaded this awesome book to my Kindle 3 days ago and read it in a handful of hours! We booked our first H2 trip for next February to celebrate Steve's 30th birthday and we can't wait! The book was so very helpful and extremely entertaining. Really put a lot of our "fears" to sleep and amped up the excitement. Now if you'll excuse me I have to shop for costumes. 296 days?!?

I think we have three copies of the book. It's a shame we vacation different times now then Chris does because we always had great fun with herAnd have some photos to prove it . We also had a great time at the birthday party she thru for her 40th birthday. It ran from Fri night until Sunday night.
