Just watched it....ack, gag, gag. WARNING: Possible story line info you don't want to know ahead ....but then: Dialog/story line were inane (some of it unintelligible) so it won't really matter.
Girls were cute, weather was not pretty, first 120 min. were pointless...no wait, the one scene of the 4 hot Black guys approaching the 4 female lead characters was vaguely amusing. And what's with the matching pink lips and ears on the main guy character, Tom? Why did Laura and her roommate look so much alike...and like the gal Tom was purported to have an affair with...I got so confused and mixed the three up. The gal behind the counter in the spa did the Jamaica subtle attitude thing beautifully--spot on! Making dolphins into sex-crazed beasts was just weird. I mean weird. The movie could've started with them all on the plane--didn't need any of that long lead up. Laura's wedding dress at the end was gorgeous. (Clearly I'm not a movie critic...sorry for all the adjectives--it's late and I wanted to save someone else the $5.99.)
So who else is going to watch it just to see the resort?
I published a Jamaica Immigration Page where I consolidated all the current Jamaica Immigration requirements with links to the Travel Authorization form that all arrivals must complete no more than 3 days before arrival. It also has information for people arriving from the states requiring COVID-19 pretesting.
I absolutely remember when it was more evenly split between singles and couples late 80's early 90's. Problem is that we all aged and got married or coupled up. I think Chris can quote the gradual increase in the average age of the guests over the years. Lots of us met our husbands/wives at Hedo.
Cindy's first trip was Oct. 1997. She believes that all of pool complex was there on her first trip as she doesn't remember it not ever being there. Robert's Grill was definitely there. We so miss Robert! And, Shanique, too. Grill food has been so up and down since they left.
I've seen the form in a webinar with the Jamaican government. Most of the questions are the same as on the Customs and Immigration form. There are some added questions about any COVID-19 testing you may have had done and the results. It's a pretty quick process. It mainly is to speed up things instead of having you wait in another line in Jamaica to go through health screenings like what happened with the swine flu and other such epidemics in the past.
I don't expect the travel company/airline will compensate you. That is what trip insurance is for.
If you are going to be at the resort for any of the Dec 5-12, 2020 nights (you can overlap by 1 or more nights) - you can now register for the Wet Wild and Wicked Group. To register or to just find out more about the group, go here.
To promote contactless immigration processes, the Jamaica Immigration department is asking that all arriving passengers use their online immigration form. I have a link to it on the COVID-19 page linked from my home page. There is also a link on the Hedonism II and Grand Lido Negril main pages and on the Jamaica Miscellaneous Info page.
