Jim & Sue

We need to comment on the trip report of Jim and Ang who said a couple got a good deal by buying a Desire Premier membership.  Wait till they try to use it, they’ll realize like we have that it’s a big scam.  They claim members can reserve beach beds, we tried and nothing was reserved.  They claim members are guaranteed rooms with 60 days notice, we tried that and it didn’t work.  RCI charges $175 each time Desire transfers points to your RCI account, we were never informed of this charge.  You cant book online with RCI as we were told.  Now RCI has severely limited how many points can be used in a year and they’re only good for domestic flights.  All the rules have changed since we bought just 4 months ago.  Check out the Desire Ripoff site on Yahoo to hear of other members problems.  These memberships are a huge ripoff and has really soured us on Desire, which we otherwise love.  Chris at Desire’s Premier program claims to help but has been no help to us.  Our advice, don’t buy into it and stick with Denny P. for your travel plans.
