Trip Report 4/9 – 4/16
We just returned from our second trip to Desire and it was even better than our first trip! Booking with DennyP was a breeze. Check in was quick and painless, our room as ready when we arrived and Silvina arranged for us to have a room in the area we requested. We were in room 2413, and although it’s labeled gardenview it has a view of the ocean.
Room keys – easy and convenient. Ask the desk to punch a hole in them and they will put them on a lanyard for you.
Italian restaurant – Loved it, was my favorite! It had a small selection but the food was great.
Suki – I thought it was just OK but everyone else raved about it. Very nice atmosphere.
International Restaurant – Was a real treat, the food and service were superb.
Coffee – Was good to me. Ask them to make you a cappuccino, it was one of the best I ever had.
Pool chairs – I was always able to find one, but the umbrellas were reserved very early in the morning. Same thing with the palapas. Some friends of ours were lucky enough to get one on their last day only to be “confronted” by a woman a few hours later. She told them that they were on “her” palapa, and that she had it all week. She expected them to move. They refused to move (good for them!). I don’t think a chair reservation system is the answer but I would like to see the resort invest in more umbrellas.
PDAs – Were not as “in your face” as they were when I went last June. The hot tub beds and the playroom were well used. (blush)
Entertainment staff – Fantastic! Aldo, Amy, Mia, JJ and Diana were friendly and fun but never pushy. They took a group of us to Coco Bongo one night. It was a blast. I think they offer the trips weekly. Don’t miss out; the cost and time away from the resort are well worth it.
Staff – Everyone was professional, cheerful and friendly. They are what make Desire so special. Special thanks to Victor (ask him to make you a blow job shot) and Marvin. You guys were great!
The Spa – Richard and I each had two massages there last week. Very nice! I did not get to try it myself, but I heard the chocolate massage was awesome.
Disco – Smoky but not too hot in my opinion. Everyone’s taste differs when it comes to the music. I would have liked more contemporary “booty shaking” music but I was in the minority.
Friends – Duane, Carolyn, Denise (Liz), Jim, Darrel, Kathy, Scott, Donna, Kelly, Rick, Chad, Amity, Dottie, Jim, Tony, Nichole, Ponk (Richard)… I could go on and on. You guys were great, I hope we can all meet at Desire again next year.
Suggested improvements –
A big THANK YOU to Silvina and the rest of the Desire staff. You are all fantastic and a big reason why Desire is so successful. I can’t wait to see you next year!
