Since my wife Sonia and I just arrived yesterday from Desire reopening we wanted to share with all of you our experience in the just reopened resort at Cancun!

The place had a totall renewall due to hurricane, but now after 4 months of hard work...its in great shape or i might even say in better shape! Owners invested big money in the place and now its brand new and ready to all of us!

We arrived on thursday 2th around 2:30 PM and had to wait just 30 minutes zipping a glass of cold champagne we were offered at reception, while our room got ready (check in is at 3:00 and check out is at 12:00) .Our room was1602 which we recommend a lot because its just in front of the sea , first level exactly in the middle of the resort which allowed us to move easily to anywhere. (this was a special request from my wife Sonia to the reception manager which he gladly fullfilled).

We did rent a car at airport because we wanted to go and visit downtown Cancun to see the damaged zones and the recovery effort. Hyatt at Cancun is shutdown and I guess it wont open again, many signs and public ads are still down and yes...many many trees remain near the beach specially on the way to Playacar.By the way no signs to go back to the airport not even at the entrance of the airport road!

Back to Desire we should tell you that in our room 1602 everything worked well except some outlets and light bulbs. Jacuzzi was alright with a nice Tantra gift kit and very confortable bed that was used several times a day with opened curtains to proper sexcercise and burn calories with no aparent damages during our stay!..lol!

Outside our room sea was turquoise beautiful and beach its full of white powder sand, there are some works of gardening still going on and the store was just about to be opened. A couple of time we had to go to reception to fix our door card cause it didnt worked. We did saw lots of security and no mosquitoes!!

The pool area, the new restaurants, the spa and of course the nude jacuzzi and the disco worked very well. Near the pool there´s a completly new bigger snack area that serves some incredible grilled white fish mmmm! At Suki restaurant try the spring rolls and the Curry shrimps! We think food at Desire is by far better than hedo.

The music at the disco is good and climate templated so girls can dress veery sexy without catching a cold! Next door playroom its very nice but filled with many used towels that should be taken away more often. Nobody likes to sit butt naked in wet used towels!.

When we arrived on thursday the 2th it was pouring, but next 3 days we enjoyed beautiful sun that made us get a nice color of course with no tan lines and many nice pictures!

We made many many friends specially from Syracuse group of NY and had a great time of course we will be back as soon as possible to mantain our tan!
