May 15-21st This was our First trip to Desire but not to a resort like this as we have been to both Hedo 2 and Grand Lido Braco multiple times. WE DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK AT DESIRE!!!!!
Travel/Air/Transfers. Everything went smoothly. Had private (just us, no waiting for other couples) transportation to and from the airport for 50.00.
Room was nice. Beach front 2nd floor, great view. Only complaint was the lack of shower curtain but sh1t we are on vacation. Threw a towel on the floor and no problem. We couldn't believe the things people complain about on VACATION.
Food. We thought it was pretty good. Especially the Lobster n Filet Steak in the specialty resturant. The buffet was pretty good but we weren't expecting the stars as it is a "buffet" We didn't try the Mexican resturant as we were usually dining with friends so gave our unused dinner ticket to another couple so it wouldn't go to waste.
The Pool. Very nice, though we spent the majority of the time on the beach and pier. Don't really understand flying all that way to hang by the pool as we can do that at home. Wait, our pool at home isn't THAT fun, though we wish! Props out to Hugo. That man remembered our drinks after the first order and we never even needed to ask for refills as he was there with a new drink just as we finished.
We loved the beach and pier and spent most of every day at one of them. One of the most thankless jobs is the raking up the seaweed every day so we made sure that guy was taken care of.
Disco. Was fun though the music at times was bad. All we did is request a change and presto, the music was good. It helped knowing a bit of spanish to convince the DJ.
The Playroom we thought was nice. Very cool idea and we took advantage a couple of times. Get in there early as there is a slight lack of ventilation so it starts to smell a little raunchy near the end of the night:) NOTE: People if you just want to stand at the door and watch or stare, take a picture(NOT). Nothing is more of a buzz or sex kill to look up and see a bunch of fully clothed people having a conversation or just standing and staring at the doorway.
NOTE 2: I did happen to celebrate my birthday at Desire and I must say thanks to all and I do mean all the ladies who gave me the "group special" dance in the disco. I have to thank my better half for setting it and the after party up. It doesn't get any better than that!
Hottub: What more can be said that hasn't already been said. Nothing like a roof top Hottub with a bar, naked people, beds to play on and a KILLER View of the ocean. A sunset from here is the best.
