Let me start out by saying that we have been to Hedo II, Adventura
Palace and Spa, Temptations Cancun numerous times. We have not been
to Desire Los Cabo as Desire but only as Temptations 3 times. We
never leave the resort and go sightseeing but stay where are the fun
people are.
Facilitates: They are right up at the top of the list. Everything is very comfortable, air conditioning will freeze you out, plenty of hot water. The only draw back? No elevators! That would be nice if you "blame it on the alcohol". They do have hand rails to hold on to which is highly recommended! The message, sauna, workout building is top notch. Clean and very nice atmosphere. If yo have not been to Cabo before, It is in the desert. When the sun goes down, it cools off. During our trip in January, it got down to around 58F but they have fire pits and Coleman heaters that keep it very nice around the outside bar. On top of the message, sauna building is, I'm guessing, around a 50-60 person HOT TUB!! There are restrooms and swim up bar with a absolutely fantastic view of the Sea of Cortez.
Employee's: What can I say, they are super!! Friendly, helpful, always working to please you. Service is super and everyone is very friendly and helpful all around.
Food: There are three restaurants. The main dinning room has very, very good food. Buffet style but the preparation and presentation really makes you feel like it is a much higher end restaurant. Always fresh and plentiful. The Japanese grill is to die for! The food is unbelievable!! It is first come first serve and no reservations are taken, at least when we were there. There are three or four grills with seating for 12 per grill. The eating area at pool side is open pretty late in the afternoon but mainly used for lunch dinning. Great variety of food and freshly cooked to order!! The only draw back that we found was that if you stay for a longer period of time, the menu will repeat itself.
We really like the place! It is small enough to make you feel a little more intimate with the other guest. You are never far from your room or the other facilities at the resort which is nice compared to some of the larger mega resorts! Everyone tends to get to know everyone else pretty fast and that is a big plus for us.
We are headed back again for our first visit as Desire. We can't see how changing from Temptations to Desire can change a whole lot other than a fewer amount of clothes!!
