Having had a wonderful time 2 yrs. ago at DESIRE Cancun, we were EXTREMELY excited about our upcoming trip here to DESIRE Los Cabos.
We had heard mix reviews like a lot of other couples, but we figured how bad could it be just to BE in Los Cabos Mexico! We arrived on a Saturday
around 3pm, and the transfer service was Epic-very nice and only a 25 min. drive to the resort. Our room was ready to go and I could already see that
this DESIRE resort was just as classy as the first one we visited just from the lobby. The resort itself is narrower in layout, but the rooms are much better
here than in Cancun. The beds alone are the #1 difference-they’re actually comfortable here. It was my husband’s 40th Birthday this trip so we requested a
standard room with a great view… we were on the 2nd floor with a direct view of the pool. Ahhhh…. The pool! Much larger and more luxurious with the beds
surrounding the pool and swim up bar. The Jacuzzi that looks over San Jose and Los Cabos is HUGE-much better than the one in Cancun as far as size.
the staff is very nice and the guests all very friendly. Now, here are the differences we DID notice; You can’t swim in the water at this beach. Repeat! You cannot swim
in these waters!! They could literally kill you. The waves are so hard and fast that they constantly have the ‘FATAL’ warning flag flying. Odd-I mean the point of a trip
to Mexico is the beach. It’s a shame-also, no nudity on the beach, fyi. The beach and views are pretty though-I definitely recommend a walk down the beach in the
morning. In the mornings-get to a bed to lay out towels around 8am-not before or the staff will remove them. The food is not at all as good as in Cancun’s resort, they
definitely need to step it up a bit on that part. What I DO recommend is the chicken salad during the day that the outdoor lunch buffet will have every other
day-it’s yummy! I may have lost weight on this trip-and trust me, I didn’t want to-this was supposed to be my splurge. Oh well-I’m better off.We seemed to be
lost as to the dining nightly-i.e. some of the restaurants alternate closing-weird. There is always bottled water available which
is very nice. Now, to go into Los Cabos is about 30 min. from the hotel and runs $35 per taxi each way-so best to find 1-2 other couples to go into town with
to share the expense, that’s what we did. Los Cabos is soooooooo nice! Quaint, and very safe to just walk around and see the shops and sites WITHOUT being
harassed like in Cancun. Cabo is much more laid back-love it! I wish we had gone out 1 solid night in Cabo, there is a lot to see and do and quite honestly-
the DISCO can get a little boring after 3 nights or so… If they added dueling piano bar like Hedo III or something in both their resorts that would be a fun
option too! One other thing we did notice just on this trip-there are a lot more ‘nudists only’ than ‘players’ if you know what I mean… *wink*. Now, we DID happen
to arrive after a Playfulswingers.com trip so maybe it was a down time after their visit. We met some great people and had a great time. The property is like a
‘spa’ and speaking of spa… my pedicure was life changing! I never had one laying down on a massage table before-it was awesome.
I would recommend this resort if you are considering it-you really can’t lose. They take care of you and you’ll meet many nice couples-no matter what you’re into.
