Okay, I know you have been waiting for this. You may wonder after reading each of these reports if any of us were at the same resort. But as you all know, it is all about you, the people you meet and what your expectations are and in the end what you make of all the elements.
Anyone who knows me or met me there can agree that I am the epitomy of high maintenance. So you should expect to hear this report in High Definition.....Prepare Yourselves.
All I can say is the Hedo doesn't hold a candle to this place. It is upscale, clean, romantic, fun, delicious, service oriented, fresh, sexy, and more, more, more...
The rooms were elegantly appointed. Lots of hot water and plenty of towels. The AC worked perfectly and wasn't noisy or moldy. CD player in the room, Fridge with bottled water, beer and sodas...restocked daily. 24 hour room service delightful, free and timely.
The grounds were beautiful and bars plentiful. The bartenders were eager to please and worked well under pressure. The pool bar got a little backed up on occassion but there were others close by and staff bringing your drinks to you. There were premium liquors available at each bar most of the time. Can you believe I drank Appletinis every night and good ones? They even had decent champagne and wines.
The pool was perfect with beds and loungers around. Not unlike Hedo you had to get up early to get the best spots. There were beds on the sand as well but out of sight of beach goers. You won't need to see the ocean, the waves were plenty loud enough. There is no swimming in these waters, much too dangerous. The pool was the gathering spot for conversation starts. This is a good opportunity to invite someone to dinner later.
The Hot tub is HUGE and CLEAN and HOT. Did I mention plenty of towels everywhere? Even the restrooms were clean. (Well most of them) There are fun beds and fires around the hot tub as well. These get quite lively in the evening. There is even a swim up bar in the hot tub. Put a towel down for tender bottoms in the spa.
The disco is small but widely enjoyed. Playroom is easily accessed from the disco and used often. The music was top of the booty shaking scale. We enjoyed it being non-smoking in there as well.
Most met for dinner at 8ish followed by after dinner drinks and music. We split after that to change for the nightly events in the disco...arriving about 11:00. Danced until the wee hours and followed up with a little moonlight...
The restaurants were excellent. Though two were buffet, there was something for everyone...including a picky eater like me. One Rest.is located right at the pool. Quick and easy to get a salad or snacks or even order off the fresh grilled items. Breakfast every morning could be omelets, french toast or fresh fruit and much much more. Mimosas and Bloody mary's were standard fare. The Japanese was top notch. We ate there 3 times, Ala carte, sushi and hibachi. Every time perfect.
We really enjoyed the cohesiveness of the resort by not seperating nude/prude etc. It was easier to meet folks and everyone seemed comfortable clothed, topless, or nude. Everyone we met was in the classy, sexy, and too much fun category.
If you do want to go off resort for dinner or sight seeing, is easily accessible and the options unlimited. In San Jose, Morgan's Rest. was to die for. Ask Richardo, the bellman, should you need anything or a tour of the area. He is the go to guy for info.
Was our trip perfect...No. Did it matter...No. We met some fantastic people that we will call friends and plan to see again in the future and had a blast too. We will definately be making a trip back there in the future. We can't say enough about the resort and the service, the people and the experience.
