Resort, Country, Region and Airline COVID-19 News

Travel policies and procedures for airports, airlines, countries and resorts are changing constantly. We have to understand that what we see and hear that is happening today most likely will be different weeks and months in the future.

I created a web page that consolidates a lot of the current news since the reopening of travel following the COVID-19 border closures. You can access that page from a link at the top of my home page in the green box or jump to it directly here. I update it several times a week with current information. I added a link on that page in a green box to access current Jamaica Travel Authorization and testing information. Jamaica updates that information quite often.

Hedonism II Comment Form

There is an updated online comment form for Hedonism II found on the DennyP Travel main Hedonism II resort page. It can be submitted anonymously if desired. The results are sent directly to resort management. It can be used for positive and negative feedback. This form was redesigned to work better on smartphones and tablets in addition to desktop systems.

Hedonism II - COVID

Hedonism II is now requiring ALL guests to have a negative COVID-19 test when checking in. This applies to Jamaica residents, also.

Jamaica is working on an offering of mandatory medical insurance for tourists called Jamaica Cares that would cover emergency medical expenses while on the island including emergency evacuation back to the US. Little details are known at this time. Reportedly the cost will be $40 per person and will be processed as part of the Travel Authorization application. (NOTE: This insurance has not yet started and no implementation date has been published that I can find.) I have a link to several articles posted on the COVID-19 Travel Information page on my web site that has what details were made available. I will post more information on that page, my message board, and my newsletters when available.

Hedonism II News & Miscellaneous Information

Hedonism II has a new General Manager - Mr. Dermot De Loughry - and a new Resort Manager - Ms. Camille Seaton. See their biography information via links on my Hedonism II main resort page.

All arriving guests into Jamaica must complete a Travel Authorization form no more than 5-days before checking in for their flight. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BOARD YOUR FLIGHT TO JAMAICA WITHOUT HAVING COMPLETED THE FORM. ALL travelers from the U.S. and some other countries are required to submit a negative COVID-19 antigen test at check-in for your Jamaica flight taken no more than 9-days before arrival by an approved lab. Check my web site for updates on the Covid-19 page.

Trip reports from guests traveling after the reopening of travel following the COVID-19 closings would be very much appreciated by everyone. Thank you to those who submitted one and have them posted currently.

Trip reports for many resorts are available here. Please consider submitting a trip report of your own. Your experiences will be of interest to others - especially to first timers. Feel free to submit reports for properties not currently listed. I am happy to add additional ones. This trip report repository has been very useful for many people, but it needs more current reports.

Please email me any reports and pictures for posting. Any guest visible in pictures must give me written permission to post them. The files can be Word, txt files or just incorporate the report into the body of your email. I can make most image formats work. First name(s) and an email address are required to be posted. Your approximate travel dates would be appreciated.

Rebooking Hedonism II

If you previously cancelled a Hedonism II trip using their cancellation waiver and you have funds being held for future use, now is a good time to rebook for 2021. Many dates are filling up with rebookings combining with new bookings. Your preferred dates could be sold out soon. My 2021 WWW trips of June 5-12 and Dec 4-11 would be good choices that currently have adequate room availability.
