In the last newsletter about our European Charter, we showed you some of the exciting ports and lifestyle spots we will be exploring next June including clothing-optional beaches in Málaga, Spain and a "bucket list" visit to Casablanca, Morocco. This month's newsletter continues the adventure with highlights of Cadiz and Valencia, Spain. If you're wondering if there will be more clothing-optional fun at these ports, the answer is "Yes!" -- so read on for more details..

The city of Cadiz also has a rich history that will be on display, which is evident in its old quarters and landmarks. This includes an immense, lavishly ornamented cathedral and the Alcazar palace which is exquisitely decorated in Moorish style. You'll marvel at the stunning mix of innovative architecture and gothic beauty in Valencia. This Spanish city is home to many avant-garde buildings, including the breathtaking City of Arts and Sciences cultural complex.

Camposoto beach is located in San Fernando, part of the Natural Park of the Bay of Cadiz created in 1989. The beach is located between the marshes and salt marshes of San Fernando and the marshes of Sancti Petri and Punta del Boquerón, a protected natural area. The sand is fine and golden with many shells and dunes. It also has a beach bar which is a great addition to your fun in the sun.

The Cortadura beach is formed by a string of dunes with very fine golden sand, crystal clear waters and medium-cold temperatures typical of the Atlantic. There is so much to explore in Cadiz.

Pinedo beach is located in the southeast city of Valencia. It has an urbanized promenade filled with a variety of beach bars, restaurants and more bars, another fine golden sand beach and calm waters with moderate waves. There is a "free zone," which goes from the famous "Casa Negra" to the old Plexi factory, which is suitable for nudism.

Stroll Cadiz

Amble through Cadiz on foot during this fascinating walk to the city's historic squares, landmarks, and cathedral. Marvel at architectural wonders that are 116 years in the making. Then have your camera ready for its beautiful marble fountain located in the San Juan de Dios Square. At the end of the stroll, enjoy a relaxing coffee break at the local bar where you can rub shoulders with the locals.

Carrascal Farm & Domecq Family

Get a taste of the country life, Spanish style, on a visit to El Carrascal farm, hosted by the Domecq family on their country estate. The Domecqs owned a sherry empire and came to prominence when Álvaro revived the art of "rejoneo," a form of bullfighting by horseback.

Tour the farm with your hosts to visit its mares and foals and see the stables. Then continue on the enclosure where the bulls are reared, all the while accompanied by a member of the family, who will be happy to answer any questions. After the tour, enjoy aperitif and appetizers on the farm terrace.

Panoramic Valencia & The Fallas Museum

Pass by Plaza de Toros de Valencia, a massive bull ring inspired by the Roman Colosseum, the central train station, and Serranos Gate, one of 12 gates that formed the ancient city's wall. The Silk Exchange: UNESCO World Heritage

Follow the footsteps of the silk road on this exploration of Valencia's silk making heritage. To celebrate UNESCO's Silk Road project, journey into the Old Town where you'll visit the Higher Art of Silk Making Authority, established in 1477. The authority set the standards for silk making in the region. This unique museum traces the history of silk, housed in a stunning 15th century building.

Then, stroll the Barri de Velluters, the Old Town neighborhood of velvet makers and a traditional Valencian silk shop that sells costumes used during the Falles festival. Finally, visit the Silk Exchange, an UNESCO World Heritage Site that once attracted European traders in search of Valencia's rich silk fabrics.
