Paradise Lakes: Steve & Amy - May, 2009

Amy and I have traveled all over the country visiting many nudist and lifestyle resorts. Our recent trip to Paradise Lakes Resort was fantastic!

Getting There:

Anyone who has traveled thru Tampa Airport knows why it is rated one of the top airports in America. We where met at curbside by our limo driver. Before we knew it we were at Paradise Lakes and ready to start our vacation.

The Resort:

Paradise Lakes Resort is surrounded by clothing optional condominiums, townhouses, RV parks and individual homes. Inside the main resort is the hotel, spa, pools, gym, restaurants and other facilities. We were staying in the hotel, so we would be in the center of things. The best feature is that if we wanted to swim at 3am…. The pool was just a few feet away!.... Nothing beats moonlight skinny dipping!!!!!

Restaurants:

The 2 main restaurants are Key West and P. L. Hemingway's Restaurant.

Key West is an open air sports bar with sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and entrees situated in the center of all the pools. Very casual and fun open from 11am to midnight.

P. L. Hemingway's Restaurant is located in the overlooking the conversation pool with breakfast and dinner service with excellent selection of choices. The special menu is simply gourmet with duck, seafood, lamb, steaks, and other selections. PS: You can dine nude!

Activities:

Sun worshiping is the main activity, sitting in a lounge chair with a cold drink in your hand as the Florida rays soak into your skin.  The waitress was very attentive to our needs so we never had to leave our chair to get a drink or food.

If you are into water volleyball then this is the place. They have three pools to play water volleyball, on a weekend I was there over 40 people were lined up to play. Warning: they are very competitive and that it very serious with their own written rules. It was amazing just watch at times. This is not your normal naked water volleyball, the spikes come hard and fast.

They also have shuttle board courts, pool, darts, bocce ball court, ping pong, sand volleyball, a gym and plenty of tennis courts.

Nightlife:

Key West Bar at night has tons of TV’s showing sports. Karaoke, Texas hold em poker, pool and dart as well as a wii for those into video games serve as nighttime distractions. A good crowd of people sitting at the bar, or out of the pools for a fresh drink.

The conversation pool and hot tub are normally full of people socializing.

The main nightclub has been renovated with new bars, new floors and new chairs/ tables.  The music is the normal dance mix you would find in most normal bars. The dress is from normal club dress, sexy outfits, slut wear to nude depending on the person. Plenty of bartenders and waitress keep the drinks flowing. The crowds were largest on the weekends and seemed be a mix of age ranges 30-60. We did encounter some very nice couples and singles that were open to the “lifestyle” as well as others that were not interested. It was very nice mix of people that filled the dance floor!

Overall:

We found Paradise Lakes to be a fun nude vacation spot. It is a great alternative to the resorts in Mexico or Jamaica. The people and staff were very nice and friendly. We were so impressed that we can not wait to come back and spend more time at Paradise Lakes!
